10 Foods You Should Never Eat

10:45
We know some products are really dangerous for our health, and other products are good for us as they are healthy. It turns out it’s not so simple and some of the most promoted and popular foods can, in fact, harm you. Never eat these 10 dangerous foods for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. Even if you see the juice labels “not from concentrate” or “100% pure”, don't let this fool you. Juice, after being squeezed from different fruits, is kept in huge vacuum-sealed tanks where it can sit for up to a year before being packaged! And by that time, the juice has lost all its flavor, which is why manufacturers have to add artificial flavoring to make it taste fruity again. In most cases, cereals are loaded with refined carbohydrates and sugar. Even if the label assures you that it's fat-free and whole grain, check the list of ingredients. You'll most likely see that the product is full of sugar. Despite common belief, most yogurts don't contain probiotic bacteria since the process of pasteurization kills all these microorganisms. When consumed, trans-fats in ice-cream can cause high cholesterol, stroke, heart disease, and even cancer. Ice cream is also loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and synthetic preservatives. And if it’s pink, purple, or red, it’s most likely been colored with cochineal extract or carmine, additives which can cause bad allergic reactions. Popcorn has some genetically modified ingredients as well as taste-boosting chemicals and additives. This leads to health problems such as heart attacks, digestive issues, allergies, skin rashes, breathing problems, and the depressing list goes on. Even more, popcorn is extremely caloric. Music: Vibe Mountain - Great Hope The 126ers - Reversed Eclipse Rondo Brothers - Yellow Gold Kevin MacLeod - Jay Jay Silent Partner - Pink Lemonade https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Fruit juices 0:37 Energy bars 1:42 Cereal 2:31 Margarine 3:21 Low-fat yogurt 4:11 Ice cream 5:01 Eggs 6:07 Microwave popcorn 7:09 Sugar-free candy 8:32 Diet soda 9:26 SUMMARY -Store-bought juices may contain some real fruit, but most of their content is water, sugar, and artificial flavoring. -Protein bars and energy bars alike are usually processed products containing sugar, artificial flavors and sweeteners. -Breakfast cereals typically contain a teeny tiny amount of whole grains, which allows producers to mark their product as healthy, but they also contain unhealthy sugar. -Margarine is typically made from industrial vegetable oils hydrogenated to become solid, a process that significantly increases the oils’ trans-fat content. -Manufacturers load “low-fat” yogurts with sugar to make up for the lack of taste usually provided by the natural fats. -Instead of pure milk or cream, manufacturers use cheaper hydrogenated fats such as palm- or coconut oil to produce ice-cream. These oils, when heated, become nothing more than trans-fats. -One egg contains as much cholesterol as a big greasy burger. -Microwave popcorn’s almost always lined with the same toxic substance you can find in Teflon pans. -If candy doesn’t contain sugar, it contains artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, and saccharine. These substances are chemically processed and may cause some serious side effects. -Artificial sweeteners in diet soda can easily lead to weight gain as they trigger the production of insulin, which makes your body store fat. 12 Things Your Stool Says About Your Health

11:09
How to understand if you're really healthy? Here's the easiest way to do it: check your stool colors and what learn they mean. As gross as it may sound, the color and shape of your stool can reveal a lot about your health. Any changes you might notice can be a sign of a serious disease. TIMESTAMPS Stool color 0:29 White 1:08 Green 2:00 Yellow 2:39 Black 3:38 Red 4:17 Stool shape 5:29 SUMMARY - If you see separate solid lumps reminiscent of nuts or goat feces in your toilet bowl, it is likely a sign of severe constipation. This type of stool means your body lacks fiber. - Sausage-shaped, large, and lumpy stool speaks of constipation. This type of stool is also caused by a lack of fiber. - If the cracked sausage-shaped stool is what you usually have, there are no reasons to worry. That’s a normal stool. You’re doing just fine! - If you stand with those whose feces are soft, sausage-shaped, and smooth – congratulations! Your stool is as perfect as stool can be! - Soft lumps with clear edges are a sign of light diarrhea. It could also mean that you are experiencing irritable bowel syndrome. - If your stool comes in fluffy pieces with ragged edges, it looks like you are having mild diarrhea. Remember how we told you to have more fiber? Well, in this case, it is just the opposite. Maybe there’s too much fiber in your diet.  - Liquid without solid pieces type of feces is what no one likes to see. It speaks of severe diarrhea. Do you take problems with your stools seriously? Do you consult doctors when needed? Feel free to share in the comments section below! What'll Happen to You If You Start Eating 3 Eggs a Day?

09:37
Eggs have been getting a bad rap in the health and fitness community because they are associated with cholesterol and weight gain. Others say they may trigger a heart attack. But you might be missing more benefits than you realized. Bright Side will crack the myths behind eggs, especially the egg yolks and let you know what will happen if you eat 3 eggs a day. TIMESTAMPS: What an egg contains 1:02 Eggs keep you full and help with weight loss 3:44 Eggs improve eye health 4:16 Eggs keep your bones healthy 4:54 Eggs prevent iron deficiency 5:17 Eggs help with brain development in infants and fetuses 5:42 How to choose the right egg 6:35 What will happen if you eat 3 eggs a day 8:11 #eggs #eggdiet #weightloss Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - Eggs have been getting a bad rap in the health and fitness community because they are associated with cholesterol and weight gain. Others say they may trigger a heart attack, and people who want to lose weight usually remove eggs from their diet. But what if you tried to eat 3 eggs a day? You might be missing more benefits than you realized. - Egg contain calories, protein, healthy fats, folate, calcium, zinc, phosphorus, selenium, and vitamins A, B5, B12, B2, D, E, K, and B6. They also contain omega-3 fatty acids and dietary cholesterol. - A large egg contains about 6 g of high-quality protein, which may help you eat less for several hours after a meal. As a result, this helps you lose weight. - Egg yolks contain lutein, which helps reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. It contains zeaxanthin, which protects you from the sun’s harmful UV rays. - Egg yolks improve bone metabolism and prevent the risk of osteoporosis. They are also a source of iron. - The yolks can also help to prevent birth defects during pregnancy. Vitamin B is important for the development of the spinal cord and fetal nervous system. It also helps prevent breast cancer, according to a study. - There are 4 types of eggs, and they are organized based on where the hen is raised and fed. Brown and white eggs have the same nutritional value according to the USDA (who debunked all previous myths on this matter). - A study from the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut revealed that a person who consumes 3 eggs a day may experience more of an increase in good cholesterol and decrease in bad cholesterol than someone who eats the same amount of egg substitute. 11 Signs of Health Problems Hidden On Your Face

09:29
How to figure out if there’s something wrong about your health? It’s often enough to look in the mirror. External changes can signal the beginning of a serious illness inside. So pay particular attention to these 11 symptoms of internal problems that show up right on your face! When it comes to health issues, early detection is key. #health #itching #hormones TIMESTAMPS: Discoloration of the skin around the mouth and nose 1:06 Extremely sensitive, glossy, or bulging eyes 1:49 Eyelashes that have become thicker and longer 2:35 A puffy face 3:12 Soft yellowish spots on the eyelids 3:49 Eyelid swelling and peeling 4:43 Itchy ears 5:22 Sudden facial asymmetry 6:07 Rashes and red blotches on the face 6:56 A receding chin 7:44 Out-of-control facial hair growth 8:11 #healthproblems #puffyface #itchiness Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - If your skin has turned grayish-bluish in the area of the nasolabial triangle (that’s basically your mouth and nose), this may indicate that you’re not getting enough oxygen due to poor blood circulation. - If you’ve noticed that your eyes had become extremely sensitive, glossy, or bulging eyes, this may be one of the first signs of hyperthyroidism or thyrotoxicosis. - If you feel that your eyelashes have started to grow abnormally fast, this could be a real problem. Experiencing curlier, thicker, longer, or more pigmented eyelashes is a condition called trichomegaly. Some people are born with it, but it can also be caused by serious ailments like tuberculosis or immunodeficiency disorders. - A puffy face with swelling around the eyes, as well as dry skin and thin fragile hair, are some of the first signs of iodine deficiency. Iodine is responsible for proper thyroid function. Besides these symptoms on your face, if you notice that your weight is constantly fluctuating or you have increased sensitivity to the cold, it’s high time to see an endocrinologist. - People who have xanthelasma, or yellowish cholesterol-filled sacs on the skin, mostly around the eyes, are at a higher risk of developing heart disease. As harmless as they may seem, these spots indicate that the body isn’t metabolizing fats properly, which can result in a condition called atherosclerosis. - According to statistics, one out of 3 people who’s ever used cosmetic products on their eyes has experienced an allergic reaction to them at least once. Flakey or reddened eyelids may be your body’s way of telling you that your eye makeup or moisturizer contains some components that your skin doesn't agree with. - If you suffer from constant itchiness in your ears, this may be a sign of eczema, psoriasis, or some sort of allergy. The appearance of eczema, irritation, or similar skin problems means that you could be dangerously low on Vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin. - A sudden change of facial symmetry, watery or dry eyes, and tingling in the facial muscles may mean a person has Bell's palsy. This condition causes muscle weakness or even paralysis on part of the face. It happens if the nerves that control your muscles become swollen, compressed, or inflamed. The reason for this problem is most often a viral infection. - Symptoms of digestive problems can actually show up on your skin. For example, red bumps that gather into itchy clusters may indicate celiac disease. If your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose suddenly become “decorated” with a butterfly-shaped rash, it can be a symptom of lupus. Other possible causes of rash are eczema, allergies, or some infection. - If a receding chin is accompanied by a small jaw and thick neck, you may be developing sleep apnea. People with this disorder actually stop breathing for ten or more seconds while they’re asleep. - Women should be alarmed if they suddenly notice an abundance of facial hair growing where there was once smooth skin. If dark course hair has started to grow on your chin, jawline, and upper lip, you may have polycystic ovary syndrome. This is a hormone imbalance that happens when male hormone levels are elevated in a woman. Your Ears Can Indicate Your Health: Don't Ignore These 8 Factors

10:10
It is a normal hygienic procedure to clean our ears once every few days. However, not all of us know that ear wax can also indicate the state of our health. With the help of a Q-tip, you can check the color of your ear wax and understand what it means. TIMESTAMPS What do we know about the human ear? 0:35 Ear wax of a gray color 1:28 Ear wax with traces of blood 2:09 Ear wax of a brown color 3:02 Ear wax of a black color 3:40 Ear wax of a white color 4:25 Ear wax with an unpleasant smell 5:14 Liquid ear wax 6:03 Dry earwax 6:36 See a doctor if you have the following symptoms 7:06 What you shouldn't do to avoid any problems 8:14 Three most interesting facts about your ears 8:47 SUMMARY Ear wax is not a body waste to get rid of regularly, quite the contrary - it's a kind of protection. It keeps the ear canal lubricated, therefore, prevents the ears from itching. Moreover, it prevents different pollutants from entering the inner ear. Even more surprisingly, this substance has antibacterial properties. Our body is a clever mechanism. Did you know that when we chew, the movement pushes ear wax to the outer part of the ear? This way, your ears self-clean! If your ears tend to produce a big amount of ear wax creating a build-up, you can take some preventive measures yourself. - It's effective to use agents softening the wax. They can be mineral or baby oil, or ear drops. It is enough to put a few drops of these substances into your ear once a week to soften the ear wax and help it to come out faster and with ease. - Another way to take care of your ears is to buy a special at-home kit for their irrigation. WEIGHT LOSS TIPS // 9 science-backed tips to lose weight + keep it off

14:21
Most weight loss tips don't work long-term because they focus on quick fixes. In this video, I'm going to share 9 science-backed tips that do work and have research to back them up. These are the tips that helped me lose 40 pounds gradually and keep it off. I was 160 pounds at my heaviest weight and today I am just below 120 pounds - at the time of this video I am 119 pounds. My height is just a tad under 5' 5'' (165 cm). I lost the weight in two phases. In phase 1, where I drastically reduced my sugar intake and increased my daily activity, I went from 160 pounds to 140 pounds. Then, I hovered between 135 and 140 pounds for most of my twenties. In my thirties, I decided to drop some more body fat to reduce my risk of diabetes. I went from 135 pounds to 120 pounds in my mid-thirties. This was the hardest weight to lose and it didn't drop off as easily as the first 20 pounds. I focused on eating whole, unprocessed foods and daily activity (exercise and non-exercise related too) as well as other lifestyle and nutrition changes. The tips in this video have helped me lose the excess weight and also keep it off. These aren't changes to make for a short period of time. These are all long-term changes that require consistency. When it comes to weight loss, CONSISTENCY is key. There are many different ways to lose weight, so do what works for you, but keep it consistent. Good luck on your weight loss journey! Is Social Media Hurting Your Mental Health? | Bailey Parnell | TEDxRyersonU

14:45
Scrolling through our social media feeds feels like a harmless part of our daily lives. But is it actually as harmless at seems? According to social media expert Bailey Parnell, our growing and unchecked obsession with social media has unintended long term consequences on our mental health. As social media continues to become part of the fabric of modern life – the “digital layer” – abstinence is becoming less of an option. Bailey think it’s high time we learned to practice safe social before it’s too late. What are the common triggers? How are they affecting you over time? How can you create a more positive experience online? Bailey covers this and more in “Is Social Media Hurting Your Mental Health?” Bailey Parnell was recently named one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women. She is an award-winning digital marketer, public speaker and businesswoman with a talent for helping people tell better stories. Her work and expertise have been featured on CBC, CTV & in other local Toronto media. Bailey recently founded SkillsCamp, a soft skills training company where they help people develop the essential skills needed for professional success. She also currently works in digital marketing at Ryerson University. Bailey is a frequent public speaker having spoken to more than 10 thousand people. She primarily speaks about social media, personal branding, and media and mental health. She guest lectured her first MBA class at 21-years-old and has been the youngest speaker as multiple academic conferences. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Communication and Culture with a research focus on social media and mental health, and holds an honours BA from the RTA School of Media at Ryerson. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

I've been asked by many subscribers to share my tips on keeping teeth white and healthy. In this video, I'm going to share a few simple things I do to keep my teeth white. I don't do any whitening as I didn't have a great experience the last time I tried in 2004. My approach is to keep teeth white by avoiding the primary reasons for stained teeth. The Importance of Sleep: 8 Scientific Health Benefits of Sleep + Sleeping Tips

04:59
To support our channel and level up your health, check out: Our Fast Weight Loss Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/the-science-of-fast-weight-loss-course Our Better Health Basics Course: http://thehealthnerds.com/food-health-happiness Today we’re going to talk about the importance of sleep and the 10 scientific health benefits of sleep. We’re also going to finish with some proven sleeping tips that will ensure you get a full night’s rest and make sure you get the right amount. 8 health benefits of sleep: 1. Not getting enough sleep is linked to fat 2. Getting the right amount of sleep improves your hormones 3. Good sleep Improves your immune system Another health benefit of sleep is helping you fight off being sick. In a recent study, people who sleep less than 7 hours a night are 3x more likely to develop a cold than those sleeping 8 hours or more. 4. Sleep Helps to Improve Learning In a Swiss University study two groups were introduced to a new language, one right before bed and one during the daytime. The one’s who slept immediately after leaning new material learned the language quicker than those learning in the day time. So studying before bed seems to be a good idea. 5. Sleep lowers the risk of developing depression In a study of twins researchers found that short sleep increased the genetic risk of developing depression. In fact, it has been estimated that 90% of patients with depression also suffer from some from of sleep apnea. 6. People who get more sleep naturally eat less When you don’t get enough sleep, the fluctuations of hormones cause greater cravings and worse appetite control. So if you’re someone who’s trying to lose weight but just can’t stay away from the late night snacks, getting more sleep is something that can probably help. 7. Sleep helps us empathize with others Another strange health benefit of sleep is a better understanding of social cues. One study found that those who are sleep deprived lose the ability to properly recognize expressions of anger and happiness in the faces of others. 8. Sleep improves athletic performance In a study of basketball players, a better night’s rest improved the players reaction times, speed, and, accuracy. In another study of over 2800 women, lack of sleep made them more sluggish and made it difficult to perform tasks that required coordination. Now that we’ve discussed the health benefits of sleep, lets talk about how to get a better nights rest. Here are 5 Sleeping Tips everyone needs to know Sleeping tip #1. Use Black out curtains and duct tape to black out your room Melatonin, also know as the sleep hormone, is raised when the sun goes down to indicate to our bodies that it’s time to rest. The problem is street lights, outlets, and all sorts of other unnatural lights confuse this hormone and trick it into thinking it’s still daytime. Do a complete blackout of your room and you will notice a BIG difference in both quality of sleep and ability to get to sleep. Also, computer screens and phone screens confuse melatonin as well. There are nighttime modes on these devices, but it’s always best to just not use them 1 hour before bedtime. Sleeping tip #2. Have A Routine Humans are habitual creatures and creating a systematic routine will improve sleep. Something as simple as brushing your teeth, reading a book for 15 minutes and immediately going to bed is a habit you can build to make your sleep almost automatic at night. Sleeping tip #3. Use Your Bed for Nothing but Sleep and the occasional… physical activity. Goes with the habit thing, but the moment you hit the bed you want the body to recognize that it’s time to fall asleep. So try not to work on your bed or spend anytime on it when you’re not resting. Sleeping tip #4. Use a pillow between or underneath your legs. This will help to maintain the alignment of your back and improve your posture over time. It will also help those of you suffering with lower back pain. There is not perfect way to sleep, but on your back is probably best as it helps to maintain the alignment of your neck and spine. Sleeping tip #5. Napping is great. A short 20-30 minute nap lowers cortisol levels and is very healthy for the body. So bring back a little bit of your childhood and do a quick cat nap if feeling tired mid day! Our last point is that the right amount of time for optimal sleep benefits is 7-9 hours per night. No less than 7 and no more than 9 is the perfect amount. Your Finger Shape Determines Your Health and Personality

10:07
What can you say about yourself by looking at your fingers? Prevention is better than cure with regards to your health. However, a visit to your doctor isn’t cheap. Luckily, there is an ingenious way to discover potential health risks, and it’s totally free! All you have to do is talk to the hand, specifically your own hand along with its 10 digits. This method is scientifically proven. Today we at Bright Side will tell you what the shape of your fingers says about your personality and your health risks. Based on a 15-year study conducted by the University of Warwick and the Institute of Cancer Research, men with an index finger longer than their ring finger have a 33% lower risk of prostate cancer. However, a team of Chinese researchers revealed that men with this trait are at risk of coronary artery disease. Women with a shorter index finger are twice as likely to have osteoarthritis in their knees, and that’s according to research from the University of Nottingham. TIMESTAMPS: Ring finger vs. index finger 0:42 Fingernail 1:46 Finger shapes 4:40 Thumb 5:39 Palms 6:50 Hand grip strength 7:39 Little finger 8:19 #fingershape #yourpersonality #healthrisks Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - In both men and women, a shorter index finger indicates higher verbal and physical aggression. On a more positive note, it reveals a better sense of direction and superb athletic ability. - Take a closer look at your finger, particularly your nail. What is its shape? If it looks like an almond, which many consider to be the most beautiful nail shape, you’re refined, gentle, and oozing with creativity. - Square-shaped fingers have a blunt fingertip and may indicate the possibility of gallstones or neurasthenia. - Cone-shaped fingers have a round and long shape with a pointed fingertip. This type of digit may lead to illnesses below the neck and above the diaphragm. - Spoon-shaped fingers look like soup spoons and are an indication of illnesses like diabetes and heart or cerebrovascular disease. - Drumstick-shaped fingers may be an indicator of lung cancer, heart disease, and chronic respiratory disease. - Thin and long fingers indicate that the person might be prone to emotional depression or gastrointestinal diseases - If your thumb is inflexible, then you might be afraid of change, careful with your finances, and difficult to manipulate. - Do you have blotchy, red palms? This condition is called palmar erythema, and it’s a symptom of liver disease. - A 2018 study conducted by a group of American and British researchers found that a stronger shake indicates a lower risk of cardiovascular problems and less heart “remodeling.” Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

Health is the level of functional and metabolic efficiency of a living organism. In humans it is the ability of individuals or communities to adapt and self-manage when facing physical, mental or social changes.[1] The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in its 1948 constitution as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."[2][3] This definition has been subject to controversy, in particular as lacking operational value, the ambiguity in developing cohesive health strategies, and because of the problem created by use of the word "complete".[4][5][6] Other definitions have been proposed, among which a recent definition that correlates health and personal satisfaction.[7][8] Classification systems such as the WHO Family of International Classifications, including the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), are commonly used to define and measure the components of health.

Eating whole eggs is vital: the goodness of eggs is found in the yolk (containing over 90 percent of an egg’s calcium and iron) and the white (containing almost half the egg’s protein) Many people believe that eating eggs may be bad for your health. Here are some excellent reasons to justify why eating eggs can make you healthier, brainier, leaner and stronger. . The #1 Herb for Brain Health

06:50
A healthy brain requires good blood flow. What determines healthy circulation to the brain is a healthy metabolism, an adequate supply of nutrients, glucose, and oxygen which proportionately produces carbon dioxide. When the metabolism is impaired (due to #hypothyroid) the brain can be starved of the necessary oxygen and glucose, decreasing the production of CO2 and increasing the production of #nitricoxide. While nitric oxide in combination with acetylcholine will cause vasodilation, it does at the further expense of mitochondrial energy production. In fact, nitric oxide is implicated in nerve damage, dementia and even Alzheimer's due to its damaging, excitatory effects. Therefore, inhibiting Nitric Oxide may prove therapeutic for the prevention of brain aging and also improve brain function. Of the many means including #methyleneblue, #GinkgoBiloba is a unique herb with the ability to inhibit N.O. References: N.O. & Alzheimer's: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11245887 N.O. 6 Parenting Mistakes That Might Ruin Child's Health

08:22
Every parent experienced that sinking feeling of fear for the child. Especially when you're a new mom or dad, everything suddenly changes and simple objects and things become not as safe as they seemed before. But still, childhood should be a wonderful period of any person's life, and parents are ready to do anything to make their child smile and laugh. However, there are some things you may not know about that are not only not that good for your baby but can even be possibly dangerous. So, we found six things that do more harm than good to your children. Believe us; it wouldn't hurt for any parent to know this information. For example, did you know that something as simple as seat belt may be quite unsafe? Watch our new video to find out more! TIMESTAMPS Baby walkers and jumperoo 1:03 Juice and milk 2:20 Bright toys 3:49 Warm clothes 4:54 Electronics and gadgets 5:50 Seatbelts 7:10 SUMMARY - Surprisingly enough, baby walkers and jumperoo are already banned in Canada. Actually, baby injury rate from baby walkers and jumperoos is unbelievably high – there's been over 8,000 cases a year in the USA alone! Plus, they can lead to all sorts of health problems, such as uneven muscle strengthening or deformation of feet and legs. - After drinking juice, your child would be even more thirsty, because of the amount of sugar it contains. Instead, pediatricians often advise giving fresh juices to children over the age of one year. But in the case of pasteurized fruit juices, it's better to replace them with fresh fruit completely. - Unnatural colors, electronic sounds, and many details in toys produce a harmful effect on creative thinking development and even influence personality formation. Unfortunately, aggressive behavior, groundless fears, and teenage depression are all possible outcomes. - The younger babies are, the worse their thermoregulation is, meaning that they are exposed to both overheating and supercooling. Overheating leads to neuroticism and may result in heatstroke. Simply speaking, too much warm clothing prevents the body from developing natural defense reactions toward weather changes, which may result in cold-related diseases and low immunity. - The blue light from LED screens causes retinal damage, which may lead to macular degeneration. This may result in cataracts and even blindness! Some parents may not realize it, but when your kid uses smartphones and tablets, he or she is deprived of the real world. Fine motor and sensory skills are not being developed, and there is no live interaction. - Surprisingly enough, another thing that may cause a possible danger for your baby is a seat belt. This applies to those women, who are pregnant. Wearing the lap portion of a seat belt over your belly when you’re pregnant might cause an injury to the baby in case of an accident. The best thing to do is to not drive at all unless you must: the steering wheel is also far too close to the belly, which might prove fatal even in a minor accident. Why Japanese Are So Thin According to Science

09:37
Why are Japanese people so thin? What do people eat in Japan? While the rest of the world is seeing anywhere from 15 to over 30% of its population severely overweight, Japan has managed to keep that number at just 3.6%. When it comes to health tips, it's better to turn to the country with the longest life expectancy and one of the lowest obesity rates on the planet. If you’re ready to find out how the Japanese manage to stay so effortlessly thin, keep our new video! In Japan, they usually stick to 3 wholesome meals a day that don’t leave them hungry or dealing with sudden cravings. Those who do snack keep it in small quantities and with a lot of moderation. Also, the secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. Dairy products and fruits are consumed in moderation. They tend to stay away from foods with excessive amounts of salt and sugar, like burgers and soda. TIMESTAMPS: Diet 0:50 No snacking 1:39 Fast food 2:02 Eating on time 2:58 Exercise for kids 3:44 Portion sizes 4:27 A great public transportation system 5:20 Tea time 6:15 Dinnerware 7:25 Food as an experience 8:09 #japan #japanesediet #japanesefood Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The secret to Japan’s success begins with their diet, which is pretty carb-heavy and low in saturated fats. Their main dishes of choice include vegetables, grains, fish, and meat. - Just like the rest of the world, a lot of Japanese people have a hectic schedule that doesn’t leave a lot of time or opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal. In that case, they can turn to their version of fast food, which is usually a lot healthier and resembles home-style cooking. - Most Japanese people have very regulated meal times. They eat 3 filling meals a day, with breakfast usually happening between 8 and 9am, lunch from 12 to 1pm, and dinner between 6 and 8pm. - It’s a lot more common for Japanese children to walk or cycle to school. Of course, other countries have a lot of reasons why it might not be efficient or safe for kids to hoof it to class. - Portion sizes have been on a steep rise in the last 20 years throughout the world. For example, countries like Australia, Canada, Germany, the U.S., and the U.K. have much larger fast food portions than Japan. - Separate bicycle lanes and plenty of safe areas for pedestrians are common sites in Japan. This allows the Japanese to naturally burn calories as they commute to and from work or school every day. - Tea, especially the green variety, is the number one beverage in Japan. Green tea has been praised for having a ton of major health benefits, like increasing metabolism, burning fat, fighting anxiety, and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, to name a few. - The practice of using chopsticks also helps in weight management, since they make you eat more slowly and in smaller bites. This slow process of eating helps people catch when they’re feeling full and avoid eating too much. The fact that food is served on a bunch of plates also slows down the process. - The number one way that the Japanese stay thin has to do with removing distractions and being mindful about the process of food consumption. Eating in Japan is treated with respect. 13:11
Do you want to clean your blood vessels? How to decrease the risk of heart attacks in the future? Are you ready to improve your overall well-being? Here are 15 food products that can take care of your heart and prevent heart diseases. Our heart is one of the most important organs, but, surprisingly, we take care of it the least, loading it every day with stress and unhealthy diets. And that's too bad because fatty food increases cholesterol levels, which leads to vascular plaques that prevent the heart from working correctly. In this video, you will get familiar with 15 products that perform all these activities! Some of them might surprise you with their health benefits! Watch till the end - as a bonus, you will find a recipe for a special drink for healthy blood vessels. And remember to press the like button in appreciation of our work! TIMESTAMPS Fatty fish 1:05 Oatmeal 1:51 Berries 2:30 Dark chocolate 3:19 Nuts 4:00 Extra virgin olive oil 4:45 Red wine 5:23 Green tea 5:53 Broccoli and spinach 6:35 Avocado 7:39 Pomegranate 8:13 Cinnamon 8:43 Watermelon 9:14 Garlic 9:43 Apples and pears 10:28 SUMMARY - Salmon, mackerel, herring, haddock, and other fatty fish decrease the risk of arrhythmia and atherosclerosis. They also contain lots of vitamins as well as minerals. - Rich in fiber, porridge decreases the levels of "bad" cholesterol and improves digestion. Coarse oatmeal is the healthiest. - Blueberries and strawberries are very good at lowering blood pressure and dilating blood vessels. Strawberry-lovers also get fiber, folate, antioxidants, and potassium from their favorite berries. - Dark chocolate provides the anti-stress effect as it increases the production of serotonin which is known for its calming effect. Cocoa, the main component of dark chocolate, also helps to prevent memory decline. - Nuts contain protein fibers that are useful for the heart. They also have vitamin E as their ingredient which helps to decrease the levels of "bad" cholesterol. - Olive oil is very high in oleic acid which reduces blood pressure. It is interesting that when the olives are crashed, oil leaves them naturally; therefore, beneficial ingredients and vitamins are not harmed by chemicals or preservatives. - French scientists have also found out that red wine contains some elements which can prolong a human lifespan for about 60 percent! Saying this, it still should be consumed in moderation. - Green tea makes the brain function better. This drink may decrease the risk of different types of cancer (such as prostate and breast cancer). - Broccoli, in particular, has a lot of medicinal benefits, such as prevention of some kinds of cancer, digestive system improvement, detoxification of the body. It also resembles a vitamin injection, filling you with numerous vitamins and minerals. - Avocados are packed with fiber, which can be useful for weight loss, blood sugar reduction, and other health-benefitting processes. - Pomegranates contain antioxidants, lower blood pressure, normalize blood circulation and increase hemoglobin levels. - Cinnamon can protect you from heart diseases and atherosclerosis. It also boosts metabolism and helps you to lose weight. - Watermelon plays an important role in vascular health. It stabilizes the cholesterol levels and contains antioxidants. It provides hydration, which is a great thing for your body. - Garlic dilates the vessels, lowers blood pressure, alleviates vasoconstriction, and prevents atherosclerotic plaques from appearing. It improves digestion as well, assisting in the functioning of the intestines. - Apples and pears are rich in fiber that helps your heart. They normalize blood circulation and are cheaper and more readily available alternatives to pomegranates. Besides, apples will help to maintain white and healthy teeth. 7 Things Your Pee Can Say About Your Health

08:49
7 things your urine is trying to tell you about your health. Have you ever seen green or blue urine? By checking the color, you can see whether your body is doing well or crying for help. As weird as it may sound, every time you go to the bathroom, you have a chance to check up on your health. No, we’re not talking about stepping on the scale or checking your face for breakouts. We’re talking about going number one! By examining the color of your urine, you can see whether your body is doing alright or if you need to go to the doctors. TIMESTAMPS Orange color 0:58 Pink and reddish color 2:13 Green or blue color 3:52 Brown color 5:05 Foaming or fizzy color 6:17 Transparent 7:03 Pale straw yellow, transparent yellow, or dark yellow color 7:34 SUMMARY - If you notice that the color of your urine has suddenly changed to orange, don’t worry just yet. As it turns out, some anti-inflammatory drugs, chemotherapy treatments, and laxatives with senna can cause such a color change. - Seeing pink or reddish urine usually sends most people into a panic, but it’s not really something to immediately freak out over. It could very well be caused by some foods or medications. If you’ve recently eaten beets, blackberries, or rhubarb, then you probably have nothing to worry about. Another reason could be that certain antibiotics that are used to treat tuberculosis can turn urine kind of reddish. - Eating some foods, like those that are artificially-dyed or asparagus, can discolor the urine to such an extent that it’s blue or green. If it’s because of this, there’s nothing to worry about, it’ll clear up in a day or two. Plus, medications like Amitriptyline, Indomethacin, and Propofol can cause these types of colors too. However, if none of these reasons seem likely to you, you should be dialing the doctor’s number right now. - If you notice brown shades in your urine, it could be a sign of severe dehydration. So put down those caffeinated drinks, and get more water into your body! Also, try to recall if you’ve eaten any rhubarb or fava beans lately. If you excluded these foods, and you know that you’re drinking lots water, but the color doesn’t go away, you guessed it: contact your doctor. Brown urine indicates problems with your liver and kidneys. - Having foamy urine from time to time is normal. It’s usually caused by the speed of urination. If it’s foamy after you’ve just shot that stuff out of you like a jet sprayer, don’t sweat it! But if it keeps coming back, and you notice it more and more often over time, who are you gonna call? The doctor! - If your urine is transparent, it’s a sign that you’re drinking too much water. Yes, too much is just as bad as too little! Drinking too much water can lead to certain risks, the most important of which is diluting the salts in your body. This can create a problematic chemical imbalance. - Ideally, your urine should be a pale gold color. If you are lucky enough to have the perfectly-colored pee, it means that you’re not under- or over-hydrated. You drink just as much water as you need. Good for you! If your urine is more concentrated and doesn’t look pale gold, it means that you need a little more water. Do you pay attention to the color of your urine, or do you feel weird checking it? 4 Types of Toxic Cookware to Avoid and 4 Safe Alternatives

09:18
We all know the importance of eating healthy, but not everyone knows that the cookware you use to prepare your dishes is just as important as the food itself. Even the healthiest diet can result in severe health problems if your pots and pans are toxic. Find out which cookware you should avoid by all means for the sake of your own health and the health of your family. The non-stick properties of Teflon cookware are achieved with a coating of PTFE. This is a plastic polymer that, when heated above 572°F, starts to release toxins. These toxic fumes lead to flu-like symptoms called polymer fume fever, informally known as Teflon flu. Another chemical compound found in Teflon cookware is especially threatening since it tends to stay in the body (as well as in the environment) for long periods of time. Try cast-iron cookware instead. It even comes in non-stick varieties. It doesn't leak anything toxic into your food and is actually a nice natural way to increase your body’s iron levels. Though aluminum cookware is usually coated, the coating is prone to chipping, allowing the toxic metal to get right into your food. As for aluminum foil, using it while cooking is even more dangerous. In fact, there’s an established safe amount of aluminum the human body can manage daily, and that’s 20 mg per pound of body weight a day. When you wrap your food in aluminum foil and cook it this way, the amount of this substance that leaks into the food significantly exceeds the permissible level. Consider using glass cookware instead. If you’ve just enjoyed some fish in lemon juice or stewed tomatoes cooked in an uncoated copper pot and you find yourself suffering from extremely unpleasant symptoms (such as vomiting blood, light-headedness, yellowy skin, or gastrointestinal distress, among others) call 911 immediately. Try this safe alternative instead: stainless steel. Just make sure you're buying food-grade stainless steel since this is the only type that doesn't contain any nickel or chromium. Soft ceramic coating isn't durable enough and starts chipping after a few months of daily use. When this happens, lead and cadmium sometimes found in the coating will end up in your food and, thus, in your body. Lead poisoning is one of the most dangerous types of metal poisoning and can result in abdominal pain, headaches, infertility, and other health complications. Try this safe alternative instead: 100% ceramic cookware. TIMESTAMPS Teflon cookware 0:38 Aluminum cookware and aluminum foil 3:31 Copper cookware 5:12 Ceramic-coated cookware 6:54 SUMMARY -Teflon contains plastic polymer that, when heated above 572°F, starts to release toxins. Try this safe alternative instead: real cast-iron. This is a nontoxic cooking option that truly withstands the test of time. It heats well and evenly throughout. -Aluminum is a neurotoxic metal. Elevated levels of aluminum in the body have been linked to several central nervous system diseases, including Alzheimer's and ALS. Try this safe alternative instead: glass cookware. It’ll never release anything toxic when heated, it doesn’t hold onto any old flavors or odors, and it's not only durable but also eco-friendly. -Copper cookware, especially when it isn’t coated, can easily send you to the ER with a bad case of metal poisoning. And that’s because it can release copper when you cook acidic foods. Stainless steel is a great cookware option: it's relatively lightweight, scratch-resistant, and comes in non-stick varieties. -Soft ceramic coating isn't durable enough and starts chipping after a few months of daily use. When this happens, lead and cadmium sometimes found in the coating will end up in your food and, thus, in your body. Try this safe alternative instead: 100% ceramic cookware. This is one of the best and safest options out there since it's made with completely natural materials, it isn't toxic, and it won't chip or peel off.
