Top 3 Minerals for Fasting & a Low Carb Keto Diet

07:33
Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com Top 3 Minerals for Fasting & a Low Carb Keto Diet - Thomas DeLauer When you're on a ketogenic diet, a low carb diet or even if you're fasting for that matter, there's some things that you need to be paying attention to when it comes down to your minerals. Now I mention in a lot of videos increasing your sodium intake, in some videos I talk about magnesium, some videos I talk about potassium. But in this video I want to break it down all into one. I want to help you understand what happens in your body when you're in a low carb state or when you're in a fasted state and why minerals become extremely, extremely, extremely important. So we have to remember that even when we're fasting or when we're cutting card out of the diet, we are not holding nearly as much water. You see for every one gram of carbohydrate that you consume, you hold on average 3.7 grams of water. So that means when you cut these carbohydrates out your body is losing a lot of water. Now, to make matters worse, ketones like beta hydroxy butyrate that our body produces when we're fasting or when we're in a ketogenic state are proven to be somewhat of a diuretic as is, so they make it a little bit worse. They cause your body to excrete even more water. So let's talk about three minerals today. I want to talk about sodium, I want to talk about potassium and I also want to talk about magnesium. So let's start with sodium. Heres the thing, first and foremost when your body isn't holding onto the water as much you're going to drop some sodium. It's going to head on out along with the water. You're just going to excrete it out. But there's an additional thing that happens that we have to be cognizant of and that's the fact that your insulin levels are very low. So whether you're fasting or on a ketogenic diet, your insulin levels are lower and insulin helps regulate the kidney's ability to reabsorb sodium. So when insulin isn't present, the kidneys tend to just flush that sodium out of the equation. So now you have two different things going on. Your losing water because you don't have the carbs, you don't have the actual volume. But then you actually have a function of the kidneys themselves that are causing the body to just excrete extra sodium. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because I will honestly say that the benefits of having lower levels of insulin probably supersede the actual negative aspects of your body excreting sodium because it's a lot easier to add more sodium into the diet. There was one study that was published in the American Journal of Medicine that took a look at 51 obese patients. Now these 51 obese patients they put on a low carb diet, okay, they put them on a 25 carb diet for about six months. They kept their calories still relatively high though, they just cut their carbs down. Well what they found was that at the end of six months, all the patients that were on the low carb diet had an increase in blood urea nitrogen levels. What does this end up meaning? This means that their body was losing sodium. They also found that their blood levels of sodium were significantly reduced compared to those that didn't go on a low carb diet. So we do have legitimate telltale proof that going on a low carb diet does slow down the ability to retain sodium and it does make it so you lose a little bit of that salt that's helping your blood pressure stay up. Mineral Deficiencies - Before and After

06:56
This is a digital manipulation, and I have real before and after photos, though this is not one of them. This is simply being created to show you the differences in regards the facial signs of specific mineral deficiencies, and the health issues in which those deficiencies cause. In most cases, the correction of the mineral deficiencies will resolve the physical signs, such as the collection of water in this individual space, but when it comes to the folds or wrinkles, that is dependent upon how long they have been present, and whether there has been some damage or other forms of damage it has created scar tissue that is now made them permanent. If I were to venture a guess, I would say between 75% and 80% of people who resolve their mineral deficiencies, will have at least partial reversal of the folds as well. PS. I have streamlined to a single Facebook account where I post all of my articles, and where you can find the information to get access to my products as well as to post your photos to have a facial analysis done on your own face, and you can find that at: https://www.facebook.com/witchdoctortim

Sand, gravel and salt may have a low price per tonne, but their value for domestic development and their potential for local employment creation is significant, especially when compared to the more talked about minerals like copper and gold. With 70% of the world’s population expected to live in cities by 2050, these humble ‘Development Minerals’ will play a crucial role in building homes and urban environments. The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, supported by the EU and UNDP, have initiated a capacity-building programme to develop this sector sustainably and improve livelihood opportunities. MoonFaker: Exhibit D: Critique #10A: SMART-1 & New Minerals

08:06
Claim #12. SMART-1 uncovered minerals different from those found in NASAs moon rocks. Jarrah claims that SMART-1 performed a soil sample analysis while it was pounding into the moon at 4500 mph. The he shows ABC News coverage of the SMART-1 impact which says that the probe has uncovered minerals different to the rocks gathered on the surface during moon walks. The key is the chemical signatures in the dust and debris thrown up by the collision. This is the most legitimate sounding evidence that Jarrah gives through his entire two hour documentary. The only thing they don't tell us, is what those new minerals are. In fact, at the end of the broadcast, the announcer says, "it's hoped results [of the analysis of the dust thrown up by the crash] will be available within a year." It is fairly obvious that the news teaser he presents over and over again was probably made to sound interesting to attract an audience for the ABC Sunday Night News. It appears to be a mix of information from several different articles on the ABC website. And Jarrah completely misses the fact that scientists expect to find new minerals on the moon someday. Sodium: Which Salt Minimizes Water Retention? - Thomas DeLauer… Visit My Site for more: http://www.ThomasDeLauer.com Not all salts are the same - the differences include: Healthfulness, how they are made, texture and flavor. Iodized salt: The least healthy of the salt options - highly processed Traditional table salt: Generally obtained through salt mines/ processed to eliminate minerals with a chemical added to stop clumping. Iodized salt has iodine added, which is a trace element that we need for health, however this is found naturally in alternative salt options. Pink Himalayan Salt: A healthier salt option as it is mined from salt caves that are stone ground. Benefits Include- Trace minerals and elements remain Provide good taste and color May contain around 80 trace minerals and elements - some of these include iodine, magnesium, zinc, iron and potassium. Minerals play an integral part in our health, including but not limited to: Thyroid health Hearth health Bone strength Weight management Nervous system function The way we eat leads many to be deficient in minerals - due to lack of soil quality and lack of quality food consumed. Truffle Salt: This is the healthiest option and is earthy with an almost meaty flavor. Sea salt with pieces of black or white truffle- Sea salt contains the trace minerals and elements. Truffles: A fungi that grows underground Mushrooms and truffles have been known to have health benefits since early civilization. Nutrients include: High in protein All essential amino acids Fiber Many essential minerals, including? Magnesium Calcium Potassium Iron Zinc Health benefits: Antimicrobial Antioxidants Antiinflammatory Immunomodulators References: 1. Rescuing rare earths from coal mine waste — Speaking of Chemistry

06:57
Acidic mine water is contaminating many streams in West Virginia’s coal country. Researchers are trying to extract valuable rare-earth elements from that waste to help recover some of the costs of treating it. https://cen.acs.org/materials/inorganic-chemistry/coal-new-source-rare-earths/96/i28?utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=CEN ↓↓More info and references below↓↓ This video was corrected on July 12, 2018. An earlier version of the video displayed the incorrect formula for manganese hydroxide, showing Mg2(OH)3 instead of Mn(OH)2. We regret the error. Stop Eating This Antinutrient Found In Nuts, Seeds, Grains, Soy and Beans!

12:59
Christopher Walker (Truth Nutra) in this video... PHYTIC ACID: STOP EATING THESE FOODS NOW…. Phytic acid is well known in medical research circles to be an extremely harmful antinutrient. After a careful review of all available literature on the subject, in fact, two researchers even went so far as to implicate phytic acid in our food supply such as in beans, brown rice, nuts, soy and seeds and many more things to be “the single greatest contributor to population level micronutrient deficiencies.” It's very high in beans, soy, nuts, seeds, and grains making vegans, raw vegans, vegetarians and plant based diet proponents particularly susceptible to nutrient deficiencies. https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/phytic+acid (This is a link to several definitions as to what phytic acid is. Is Fluoride in Your Water Safe to Drink

Fluoride is an element that is very reactive to the thyroid and is toxic to the brain. It is used to prevent tooth decay. There’s 180 studies published since 2006 on the effect of fluoride that causes neurotoxic harm, lowers IQ and affecting the thyroid. Side Effects of Fluoride • Demineralization of your teeth • Dental Fluorosis Cause of Tooth Decay? • Acids that comes from plaque bacteria that breaks down the sugar in your food causing the minerals to be leeched out to the bone. Effects of High Levels of Sugar • Paralyzes the white blood cells and increase the chance of more microbes that makes plaque • Decrease mineral absorption in the body • Blocks vitamin C absorption Hey guys! In this video I'm gonna answer the question from someone who wanted to know my thoughts of fluoride in the water. So let's talk about that. The first point I wanna bring up is why would you ever put an element fluoride which is very reactive to the thyroid, which is very toxic to the brain on a massive scale in the water supply. Well, they do it to prevent tooth decay so right there it's kind of weird that they're gonna put fluoride in the water supply to prevent this condition tooth decay especially when the side effect of consuming too much fluoride is the demineralization, pulling the minerals out of your teeth creating a condition called dental fluorosis. So I am gonna actually give you fluoride to prevent decay which is basically the breakdown of minerals when actually it's causing the breakdown of minerals so that's another huge red flag. Of course if you do research on this you're gonna see that they'll say it's safe there's no studies that shows that it's harm. But I'm gonna have you click the link down below when we're done and just start reading some of these studies there's actually over 180 studies published since 2006 on the effect of fluoride on the brain and the nervous system the neural toxic harm that it creates not to mention lowering your IQ and effecting the thyroid. You can just read it yourself. Now if you also just type in google, what causes tooth decay, so ofcourse the first page is all going to be explanations by toothpaste companies but this is what they say, it's acid. Acid actually causes the tooth decay and that comes from plaque bacteria that breaks down the sugar in your food causing minerals to be leached out of the bone. So of course if you're eating you should always brush your teeth after you eat to keep the teeth free of the sugar but what happens when it goes in your bloodstream? Is there a problem with the minerals in your body when you actually have high amounts. Multivitamin Research: Should You Be Taking Them? - Thomas DeLauer

07:43
Click Here to Subscribe: http://Bit.ly/ThomasVid Website: http://ThomasDeLauer.com Get the Clothes I Wear at 25% Off - Use Code: TDSUMMER25 at http://www.Hylete.com Multivitamin Research: Should You Be Taking Them?- Thomas DeLauer… I'm hoping that with this video I can save you some serious money and I know that sounds funny, but I'm talking about your multivitamins. I'm talking about potentially ditching your multivitamins, if you're not someone that actually needs it. This video came to light simply because a lot of people that have talked to and a lot of people that I've worked with, have had a very, very hard time letting go of their multivitamins. They take these multivitamins and they see them as their crutch. They see them as the end all be all and their link to healthy eating or the void fill from the nutrients that they're missing from their food. But the reality is there's a lot more to just popping a multivitamin and getting your vitamins and minerals in. So first off what I want to look at is the fact that 50% of Americans take a multivitamin. That is a lot, a lot of people that are misled. A lot of people are leading themselves to believe that they're getting all their vitamins and minerals and getting what they need from a simple pill. Also in reality, we have to look at how much money is being spent. We're talking like $11 billion dollars that people are spending on multivitamins. That's a lot of money. Okay, so let's talk about what is happening with a multivitamin and why it may not be the best thing for you. I'm not discounting it. I'm not saying that everyone should avoid taking a multivitamin. There are some subcategories of people that might want to take them, but I want to talk about some reality when it comes down to just popping that pill. First thing I want to look at is too many nutrients, okay? The simple thing is we have to look at this. If our bodies have the ability to take in all these minerals and all of these vitamins at once, don't you think there would be a food out there that truly encompasses all of them? You see, normally we have to eat different subcategories of foods to ultimately make up our nutrients. Now, if it was so easy as just popping a pill, I think that a lot more people would be really, truly healthy and if it was really possible to absorb all those vitamins and minerals at once, I think we'd have some foods that contain all those vitamins and minerals. We have to remember that we require specific enzymatic functions to truly synthesize and utilize different vitamins, minerals, and metals within the body. Each vitamin that we take in each mineral that we take in has a different process to actually being utilized and if we take them all in at once, we're not really allowing the body to do that efficiently. You're much better off knowing what is going to work for you and isolating specific vitamins and specific minerals for your type, for your bio individuality. So the thing we have to look at with multivitamins and we have this constant competition going on. Okay? We have constant competition of different minerals that sometimes need to be elevated and sometimes need to be lower, but we also have way too much of specific minerals. References: 1) Inc., G. Every Wise Traditions journal is full of articles that are relevant, scientific, and significant for our health. In today's episode, the President of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Sally Fallon Morell, reviews some of the top articles featured in the latest Wise Tradition Journal, Summer 2017. The topics are varied but they are all equally fascinating. Highlights include: the importance of sulfur for the heart and arteries and where to find it (even how to help our bodies produce it), how extruded grains are a danger to our health and how they have contributed to all the issues we see in digestion of grains today, the hot topic of CRISPR, the new genome editing tool, and how it is far from accurate, the problem with vitamin D supplementation and why supplements are generally not recommended, the role of nutritional deficiencies in today’s increasing number of c-sections, how the Feingold diet helps children improve their behavior, and more on vitamin A, saturated fats, and childhood diseases After listening you may want to dive deeper into the topics. In that case, consider becoming a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation. Membership is only $40 and includes a subscription to this quarterly journal. Collecting Carboniferous Fossils (Virginia)

23:12
**Carboniferous Fossil Collecting** Description: After getting a lead for a new fossil location in Virginia, we decided to travel out in search of the old stories that could lead us to a new Carboniferous fossil location! Little did we know that this location would produce an incredible amount of fossils with remarkable preservation! The video of the dig site was cut because we wished to protect the integrity of the formation. This turned out to be a remarkable trip with tons of museum quality specimens. The video also includes a nice segment on the geology of the formation and specimens which were recovered! Mineral Rights in Eminent Domain - Biersdorf & Associates

01:49
We discussed in a previous blog post how contamination can play a role in the determination of just compensation. Another issue that doesn’t frequently arise, but is prevalent enough to warrant discussing in our blog is how the presence of mineral rights on a property will affect the amount of just compensation owed to a property owner. The minerals present can range from sand or gravel to oil or gas. Under the rules of eminent domain law, if a property owner has mineral rights on their property, those rights must be considered when determining just compensation. When determining the amount of just compensation owed to a property owner in this situation, the classic before and after valuation should be used. In the before and after scenario, an appraiser will determine the value of the property with all of the mineral rights in place prior to the taking. They would then determine the value of the remaining property with any impairment in mineral rights as a result of the taking. We have typically found that the condemning authority tries to ignore the impact that their taking has on the loss of mineral rights, and therefore, we frequently find that a property owner is justified in pursuing a claim for additional just compensation under the rules of eminent domain law. I call this scenario to your attention so that if you are faced with this situation and the condemning authority tells you that mineral rights and loss of mineral rights is not a factor to be considered in the calculation of just compensation you will know that that statement by the condemning authorities is not true. http://www.condemnation-law.com/articles/mineral-rights-in-eminent-domain-cases/
8 Lesser-Known, Useful Elements

There are 118 elements on the periodic table, but it seems like only a handful of them get any attention. But just because you haven't heard of an element doesn't mean that it isn't a vital part of everyday life.
