Exchange 2016 Vs 2010 Shell Commands for Admins

13:05
The Exchange Management Shell is built on Windows PowerShell technology and provides a powerful command-line interface that enables the automation of Exchange administration tasks. You can use the Exchange Management Shell to manage every aspect of Exchange. For example, you can create email accounts, create Send connectors and Receive connectors, configure mailbox database properties, and manage distribution groups. You can use the Exchange Management Shell to perform every task that's available in the Exchange graphical management tools, plus things that you can't do there (for example, bulk operations). In fact, when you do something in the Exchange admin center (EAC), the Exchange Control Panel (ECP), or the Exchange Management Console (EMC), it's the Exchange Management Shell that does the work behind the scenes. The Exchange Management Shell also provides a robust and flexible scripting platform. Visual Basic scripts that required many lines of code can be replaced by Exchange Management Shell commands that use as little as one line of code. The Exchange Management Shell provides this flexibility because it uses an object model that's based on the Microsoft .NET Framework. This object model enables Exchange cmdlets to apply the output from one command to subsequent commands. To start using the Exchange Management Shell immediately, see the Exchange Management Shell documentation section later in this topic.

How to Create a Stock Management Database in Microsoft Access - Full Tutorial with Free Download

26:08
This tutorial will explain how to use Microsoft Access to create a working stock control database with some basic features. Follow along with our free download of the basic stock database we created in this video: http://www.software-matters.co.uk/free-access-stock-control-database.asp All you need to get started is a copy of Access and a beginner's knowledge of how it works. Get more help and advice on Excel, Access or VBA projects: http://www.software-matters.co.uk/youtube_links.html If you want to find out whether a bespoke database would be right for you, get in contact: http://www.software-matters.co.uk/contact.asp Learn more about our work: http://www.software-matters.co.uk/projects-blog.html Music by Kevin MacLeod http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/ We have now uploaded a no music version of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=049IlFNcrl0 --------------------------------------------- If you found this video helpful, please consider giving it a Like, leaving a comment or sharing it. More from the Software-Matters channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk-MVP61VQHMdfETVNQEFww Visit the Software-Matters website: http://www.software-matters.co.uk Software-Matters is based in Gillingham, Dorset, in the south-west of the United Kingdom (UK), near Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire and the cities of Bournemouth, Poole, Southampton, Bristol, Bath and Salisbury. ---------------------------------------------- MORE INFORMATION: To follow this tutorial you will need a full copy of Microsoft Access. The video was made using Access 2010, however the process is very similar in Access 2007 and Access 2013. We'll be going as far as setting up the database tables, which traditionally would be stored in a so-called 'back end' database file, while forms, queries and report, which are not covered in any details by this tutorial, would be stored in a separate 'front end' database file. The tables from the back end are then 'linked' to the front end, so that it behaved as if all the objects were in one file. In some places we have made the design deliberately simple in order to keep our relationships clean and the number of tables low. This helps those new to Access to get their heads around how to create the database, but for actual use, might cause problems. We recommend that you learn more about database design from other sources before beginning your project if you intend to use it for a real business. Key topics to consider are: database normalisation theory; Inner, Left, Right and Outer Joins; Basic SQL (structured query language) use; Software Development Methodologies; UX (user experience) enhancement techniques; and of course, the very specific needs of your business, project or client. All together, a broad knowledge of these topics will allow you to design your tables with enough foresight to make the setting up of the queries, forms and reports you'll need later as easy as possible. Plus it should make the system easy to use and less likely to be corrupted or crash. Keep in mind that even if your stock database needs don't fit very well with our example parts database, or if you need an entirely different kind of system like an accounts database or CRM database, the lessons in this tutorial can still apply.

The tools we require for Exchange Server Installation are, .Net Framework v2.0 or 3.0 PowerShell RTM MMC 3.0 IIS 7 In order to install the required tools you have to run the following commands one after the other at the command prompt: ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS ServerManagerCmd -i PowerShell ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Server ServerManagerCmd -i Web-ISAPI-Ext ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Metabase ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Basic-Auth ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Digest-Auth ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Windows-Auth ServerManagerCmd -i Web-Dyn-Compression After executing the first command(ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS), you have to reboot your computer. Then, after the reboot, I use a simple batch file to run the other commands in sequence. You can see the part of the output from the command prompt. Finally, the required tools for your Exchange 2007 are installed. Now, its the time to install Exchange Server. Start setup and press Install Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 SP1 . Here, you can go through the information about Exchange Server 2007. Now read the license agreement and accept its terms for get going with the installation. Now you have to decide the type of your Exchange Server installation. Here,I select "Typical Exchange Server Installation". Specify the name of your Exchange Organization.I specify my Exchange Organization name as "FirstOrganizationJiJi". Client Settings requires a public folder to connect the Exchange 2007 to clients running Outlook2003 or earlier versions. You can choose whether to create a public folder database for clients running Outlook 2003 and earlier or Entourage,by selecting "Yes" or "No".Since, I do not have clients running Outlook2003 or earlier, I select "No". Managing Exchange Server 2016 servers Mailbox databases

36:06
Managing Exchange Server 2016 servers Exchange shell commands used in video: 1)Get-MailboxDatabase 2)Move-DatabasePath –Identity “MB1” –EdbFilePath E:\DB1\DB1.edb –LogFolderPath G:\Logs\DB1 3)Set-MailboxDatabase –identity MB2 –DeletedItemRetention 20.00:00:00 –CircularLoggingEnabled $true –4)ProhibitSendQuota 2.2GB Dismount-Database –identity MB2 Mount-Database –identity MB2 Exercise details: Creating and configuring mailbox databases Scenario Currently, the Mailbox server has no locally attached storage for the mailbox database. You have available iSCSI storage for the mailbox databases and logs. These drives will be sufficient for the initial deployment at A. Datum, but the organization expects to add several additional iSCSI drives during the deployment. You need to configure Windows Server 2016 to connect to the iSCSI drives, and configure storage for the mailbox databases and logs. You need to modify the location and configuration of the default mailbox database to meet the corporate standards. The database should have a warning limit set to 0.9 gigabytes (GB), prohibit send at 1.0 GB, and prohibit send and receive at 2.2 GB. In addition to the default mailbox database, you also need to create a new mailbox database to meet the deployment requirements. You should place the new mailbox database on the iSCSI drive and enable circular logging. You also need to set different limits and retention time periods from the default database. The main tasks for this exercise are as follows: 1. Configure iSCSI storage for the Mailbox server. 2. Configure mailbox settings for an existing database. 3. Create and configure additional mailbox databases.
