How Exchange Rates Work

04:57
● We explain topics simply. So Subscribe if you want to learn while being entertained. ✔ Please like the video and comment if you enjoyed - it helps a lot! ▶ If you want a question answered then ask in the comments and we may make a video about it! About the video: You may have traveled a lot and wondered why you get more of one currency when you exchange it for another. If so, you have witnessed exchange rates in action, but do you know how they work? Watch the video to find out what exchange rates are, how to convert between them and the different systems which determine a currencies exchange rate. Historically the gold standard system had been used, which fixed currency to a select value of gold, held in a vault. The three main systems are the floating, managed and fixed exchange rate systems. The floating system has minimal government intervention, using supply and demand to determine the exchange rate. The managed exchange rate is allowed to be within a permitted band and a fixed exchange rate is usually pegged to a currency with the interest of being competitive in the international market. The video explains this in more detail and with helpful picture to guide you through the subject.

State Bank of Vietnam - Vietnamese Dong USD Rate News Showing 46/47 Cents

05:24
State Bank of Vietnam - Breaking News: Why is the Vietnamese Dong to USD exchange rate showing 46 cents or 47 cents on sites like Netdania.com and XE.com? Let's find out why. http://globalcurrencyreset.net/vietnamese-dong-exchange-rateshowing-46-cents-rv-truth http://dinarrvnews.net/ http://globalcurrencyreset.net/ The foreign exchange rate charts on both sites are essentially saying the same thing, so do not be confused, it's important that you read the fine print. Don't be confused on what the so called experts (gurus) are saying about the revaluation (RV) of the Vietnamese currency because it's a lie. I clearly show the press releases from Vietnam's Central Bank, there are no secrets that anyone is hiding. You have to ask yourself the questions as to why you are being lied to. The economy of Vietnam has actually not been doing too bad as their exports have been increasing. It's worth doing research on their economy before you jump into any currency investment, especially the Vietnam Dong. Some would argue that because the Vietnamese Dong is one of the weakest currencies in the world that it is a good investment. Investors will have to decide for themselves if they want to take the risk on this currency, as it's the 2nd least valued currency in the world. Watch documentaries, or talk to people who have visited the country as I have, the country is a mess, the currency is near worthless, and people are not happy, my advice is to not invest in the currency, buy gold and silver instead, here is a link on why I recommend gold and silver, and why you should buy from your local dealer as opposed to online http://globalcurrencyreset.net/buy-gold-and-silver/ Note that in this video, I show how the exchange rate (United States Dollar to Vietnamese Dong) proves that the currency of Vietnam is getting weaker, not stronger. Yes, their exports might be increasing, however, their debt (internal/external) is also increasing at a faster pace than their exports. VaR of Forward Foreign Currency Contract

09:59
First, we used the formula for the value of a forward contract to identify the three risk factors. This is the essential mapping idea: we characterize the portfolio as a set of exposures to underlying risk factors. In this case, a forward currency contract maps to a long position in a foreign currency spot rate, a long position in a foreign interest rate (EUR bill) and a short position in a domestic interest rate (USD bill). Second, we develop input assumptions: VaR for the risk factors and the correlation matrix. Third, we use the formula for portfolio VaR: post-multiply R(xV) and then pre-multiply (xV)'R(xV). Turkey's Failed Coup Creates Currency Risk, HSBC's Murat Toprak Says

05:31
July 19 -- Turkey’s lira declined after policy makers slowed the pace of interest-rate cuts. The currency fell 0.2 percent to 2.9823 per dollar at 2:03 p.m. in Istanbul as the central bank lowered the overnight-lending rate by 25 basis points to 8.75 percent, in line with expectations. Policy makers cut the rate by 50 basis points at each of its last three meetings. Even though attempts to overthrow President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government were thwarted, they fueled concern about the nation’s security and the longer-term implications for the economy. HSBC Head of CEEMEA FX Strategy Murat Toprak discusses with Bloomberg's Manus Cranny on "The Pulse" before the rate decision.

How to Hedge Currency Risk

04:01
http://www.forexconspiracyreport.com/how-to-hedge-currency-risk/ How to Hedge Currency Risk By www.ForexConspiracyReport.com A reliable way to hedge currency risk is to use Forex options. This approach works for businesses that need to make purchases with foreign currencies, currency speculators who engage in strategies such as the carry trade and anyone who wants to use a safe haven currency to protect their wealth. How to hedge currency risk is by purchasing calls on the currency that you will or may need to buy with the currency that you have. How does this work? Forex and Forex Options There are two kinds of options that one can purchase or sell. These are calls and puts. A call gives the buyer the right to purchase one currency with another at a set price called the strike price. He has a base currency and purchases a call option on the reference currency. The buyer is under no obligation to do so and will only execute the options contract and make the purchase if it is profitable to do so. The seller of a call is, however, obligated to sell the base currency and purchase the reference currency if the buyer executes the options contract. The seller receives a premium for taking on this risk. A put gives the buyer the right to sell one currency for another at a set price called the strike price. He has a base currency and buys a put option that will allow him to sell the base currency and purchase the reference currency if doing so will make a profit or hedge against loss. The seller of a put contract is obligated to purchase the base currency with the reference currency when the buyer executes the contract. The seller receives a premium for taking on this risk. Hedging Risk Getting hurt by the Forex race to the bottom is a distinct possibility for international businesses. As an example, Japan has been seeking to devalue its currency to make its exports more competitive and to jumpstart its sluggish economy. Let’s say that you are a Japanese airline and you want to purchase the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Depending on specifics this airplane sells for $225 million to $306 million. You sign the contract and obligate yourself for payment of $306 million in US dollars. However, the money that you have in the bank is in Yen. You will need to make payment when you receive the jet in a year. If Japan wins the Forex race to the bottom it will make the airplane more expense in Yen. How to hedge currency risk in this instance is to purchase a set of call options on the US dollar with Yen. The airline pays a premium, insurance, in order to lock in the top price that the company will need to pay in Yen when the plane is delivered. We say top price because it is always possible that the US dollar will fall in value versus the Yen. In that case the company lets the call options expire and pays in now more valuable Yen, saving money. Seeking a Safe Haven Many people seeking a safe haven for their money in times of trouble simply purchase Yen, Swiss francs, Euros or US dollars and then use the money to purchase government bonds. An alternative at least for the short term is to use calls or puts to hedge currency risk. For speculators, trading currencies for profit, the same approach works to protect against risk of a bad trade while waiting for the market to produce a profitable trade. https://youtu.be/_qJTxzaT4is

How to trade Forex Best tip Ever!

How to trade Forex? visit http://pipsociety.com You may have noticed that the value of currencies goes up and down every day. What most people don't realize is that there is a foreign exchange market - or 'Forex' for short - where you can potentially profit from the movement of these currencies. The best known example is George Soros who made a billion dollars in a day by trading currencies. Be aware, however, that currency trading involves significant risk and individuals can lose a substantial part of their investment. As technologies have improved, the Forex market has become more accessible resulting in an unprecedented growth in online trading. One of the great things about trading currencies now is that you no longer have to be a big money manager to trade this market; traders and investors like you and I can trade this market. Forex in a nutshell The Forex market is the largest financial market on Earth. Its average daily trading volume is more than $3.2 trillion. Compare that with the New York Stock Exchange, which only has an average daily trading volume of $55 billion. In fact, if you were to put ALL of the world's equity and futures markets together, their combined trading volume would only equal a QUARTER of the Forex market. Why is size important? Because there are so many buyers and sellers that transaction prices are kept low. If you're wondering how trading the Forex market is different then trading stocks, here are a few major benefits. Many firms don't charge commissions – you pay only the bid/ask spreads. There's 24 hour trading – you dictate when to trade and how to trade. You can trade on leverage, but this can magnify potential gains and losses. You can focus on picking from a few currencies rather than from 5000 stocks. Forex is accessible – you don’t need a lot of money to get started. How is Forex traded? The mechanics of a trade are virtually identical to those in other markets. The only difference is that you're buying one currency and selling another at the same time. That's why currencies are quoted in pairs, like EUR/USD or USD/JPY. The exchange rate represents the purchase price between the two currencies. https://youtu.be/LvK4wehH8ag

Eddie Tofpik, Head of FX at ADMISI, joined us today on Currency In Play. Tofpik noted that EURUSD remains well underpinned in the low 1.1900s for the time being, while it could still move higher towards the 1.2100 region. He suggested that there is no relevant hurdles in EURGBP until tops in the 0.9400 area. Tofpik also said the current down move in USDJPY needs confirmation from the technical perspective.

Day trading foreign exchange online is growing in popularity more and more each day. Foreign exchange market trading relates to buying and selling currencies with the intent of earning profit off the fluctuations in the currency’s value. Foreign exchange investment makes sense as the capital market is the biggest in the world and as such it has very high liquidity. This makes currency exchange trading for profit potentially lucrative as there is rarely an issue with delayed trade execution. Learning how to trade foreign currency brings with it many challenges. Like any other high paying skill, learning how to trade foreign currency online requires the investment of time, energy and money. For this reason, along with technological advancements in computer algorithms and robotics, investing in foreign currency has been made accessible to the average person with zero trading experience through automated foreign exchange day trading algorithms that perform trades without human intervention. The forex market attracts many people looking to learn how to become a foreign exchange trader online. Over $4 trillion is traded across foreign exchange trading platforms every day. With such high liquidity one can buy almost any currency in high volumes while the market is open. Foreign exchange trading strategies take into consideration the elevated supply and demand rate which allows for the high liquidity. The foreign exchange trading software I recommend is the first artificial intelligence of its kind. It is perfect for those who are not sure how to invest in foreign exchange currency trading as the foreign currency trading system analyzes the markets for you, monitors over 25 currency pairs for day trading foreign exchange investing and has a built-in hedging feature to help you escape long trades without losing any money. As a trading solution it’s the best foreign exchange trading for beginners as you can earn while you learn manual trading if you like. The creator and designer of this foreign exchange ai trading technology has mastered how to trade in foreign exchange markets for over 19 years and this algorithmic trading software is his trading strategy in mathematical form and leveraging his intellect without investing 19 years yourself in learning the craft makes investing in foreign currency a good idea. The foreign exchange trading system I recommend has one of the most advanced foreign exchange hedging strategies ever devised and effectively utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning. The best foreign exchange trading algorithm will calculate new positions at key levels, which have a higher leverage. This enables a profitable foreign exchange currency trading outcome when the market retraces. Even an extreme market move against an open position can be hedged. If for example a buy position has an extreme ‘selling’ market against it will calculate the existing foreign exchange hedging risk and open a new hedge in the opposite direction eventually closing the trade at break even or sometimes a profit. This is how to trade in foreign exchange market while minimizing your downside. The trading foreign exchange risk management has several parameters programmed within the automated foreign exchange algorithm to ensure risk is managed. It does not overtrade your account with average daily drawdown rarely exceeding 4%. An extreme hedge could see drawdown reach 10%. The best foreign exchange trading robot will actively secure profitable positions by moving the stop loss into a risk-free position once the trade is into profit. This ensures foreign currency exchange investment profits are regularly taken and reduces overall risk. This is the best way to invest in foreign currency profitably without spending years learning complex manual trading strategies. Where to trade foreign currency? Trading spot currencies involves substantial risk and there is always the potential for loss. Your trading results may vary. Because the risk factor is high in the foreign exchange market trading, only genuine “risk” funds should be used in such trading. For more info: http://www.easymarkets.com/gtw/6288142.aspx Thanks to modern technology and air travel our world is smaller. As you travel you exchange your money for another currency which results in a difference in value. How can there be such a difference in value between one currency and another and is it possible to profit from the difference? Hi I’m James join me today as we look at the most traded currency pair in the forex market which is the EURO VS USD. We hope that by the end of this video you will have a better understanding of what to look for when you trade this pair. Now the first question is, what makes a difference between the value of this currency to this one (holds up a euro note and a usd note). The answer is often that it is dependent on the strength or the potential strength of the country’s economy. As like everything, economies can change. The EUR/USD over the last 10 years is traded as high as 1.6008 on the 6th June 2008 and has hit a low of 1.0375 on the 1st December 2016. So why is the EUR/USD so popular for traders? Europe and the United States are the two largest economies in the World. And though the USD remains the world number one reserve currency, EURO’s dramatic rise to prominence made it the world’s second most common reserve currency. So, what do you need to be aware of when trading this pair? First, learn the time periods that can affect this pair. London opens from 3am EST. This is the world’s largest FX centre bringing in massive volumes to the market. Then the crossover happens when New York opens for business at 8 am EST which may cause a lot of volatility. When London closes at 12pm EST the activity starts to drop as volumes decrease. In fact, the average pip movement per trading session for EURUSD is for New York 92 pips, 76 pips during the TOKYO session and 114 pips in London. Now, Europe and the United States are the two largest economies in the world. It’s a good idea therefore to be aware of the interest rate disparity between the Europe Central Bank(ECB) and the US central Bank (FED) as it can bring movement to this pair. If you have intervention from one of the central banks it can weaken one related currency against the other. As we have said, it is often dependent of the perceived strength of those countries or in this case block economy. So be aware of the EUROZONE which is made up of 16 other countries. Look for relevant events that have been occurring such as those in Greece and Italy. When it comes to the Eurozone, it is important to keep an eye on the following economic indicators coming out from Germany, the biggest economy in Europe: Real GDP Industrial Production Unemployment rate ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment. At the same time, you need to be aware of the economic indicators being released from the United State. All of which can be found on the financial calendar. Be aware that unlike the USD which is known as a safe haven, the EURO is seen as a riskier asset, so you need to assess if the market sentiment is indeed risk on or risk off. Because of this you may also see that the EURO/USD is correlated in a negative way to the USD/CHF which is another safe haven whilst relating to the GBP/USD (Risk) in a positive manner. In summary, here are the things you need to be aware of when looking to trade the EUR/USD. Trading times that present the most volatility. Interest rates and policies from the ECB and the FED. Headlines relating to countries in the EUROZONE block Economic indicators from the EUROZONE, United States and Germany. And the market sentiment, is there a risk appetite? Thanks for watching - I hope you found this video informative. Join me next time when I look at the SP500. Till then, you trade safe.
