Hey guys! Thanks to Movie Maker's glitchiness, this video has been in the creation process for about two or three weeks now . Hopefully technical difficulties won't be an issue for much longer. Anyway, this video allows you to follow me around for a day as I attend some of the classes I take at Jeonju Kijun Girls' High School. I really hope that it can give you a better idea of what it is like to go to a Korean high school. I would love to hear your questions and comments, so please leave them in the comments area below this video!

Student Exchange Programme (Japanese Students)

04:26
Our student exchange programme at Regent’s is a means to develop skills in the ‘Internationalism’ pillar of the Round Square IDEALS. Students learn about other cultures by making friends from different countries and as a result become more open-minded. In October 2016 we welcomed 3 exchange students from Hakuho Girls' High School in Japan. They stayed at our boarding school and experienced international education by attending classes with students at Regent’s.

Host a High School Exchange Student

00:41
There is still time to host an exchange student this fall.  Students from around the world are coming to America for the school year! Exchange students are 15-18 years old and attend your local high school for a semester or full academic year. Volunteer host families are carefully matched with students based on a number of compatibility ratings, such as activities and interests, country of origin, and gender.  Host families provide the student with an American family cultural experience.  The student, meanwhile, provides the family with an experience they will never forget.

The Truth about High School Exchange to Japan

05:41
Before I went to Japan, more people than I can count told me that it was going to be "the best time of my life". Well, guess what, it wasn't! And that's okay. I think many people (like myself) have rather wrong expectations when it comes to moving to another country, so here are some things I learned from the whole experience! ❤ Go on exchange to Japan (Geman-speaking countries only): https://www.intrax.de/broschuerenbestellung-schueleraustausch.html?ixid=I-1151450&pc=refyt Ich habe meinen Schüleraustausch nach Japan 2015 mit Ayusa Intrax gemacht und tolle Erfahrungen sammeln können. 😊 ❤ INSTAGRAM: sophierebi (https://www.instagram.com/sophierebi/) ❤ TWITTER: @sophierebi (https://twitter.com/sophierebi) ❤ FACEBOOK: Komorebi Cosplay (https://www.facebook.com/komorebicosplay/) ❤ MY GERMAN BLOG: https://sophiegoesjapan.wordpress.com/ ❤ CONTACT: [email protected]

Why go on Exchange? ........Benefits of Exchange!

03:11
Give your students a true education abroad experience, the most enjoyable and by far the best way to learn is to do so on an immersion program. In this way, the students gets totally immersed in the language, community, culture and settings of visiting places, which greatly speeds up the learning process. This excellent learning opportunity typically leaves the student with better understanding for people of all sorts, and can really make young people feel as though they have become “Citizens of the World.” While on an International Exchange Program students have the opportunity to learn at an international school, experience another culture, immerse themselves in the language and become a member of the host family. Hosting City and Schools: Chia-Yi for 2011 International Exchange Programs

04:33
On July 8, 2010, AIFF project director, Mrs. Serena Huang, had a great pleasure to meet the principals of four major schools of Chia-Yi City who were invited to learn more about the International Exchange Program AIFF sponsors. During the meeting, videos of Valdosta City, Lowndes County Schools and Azalea International Folk Fair programs were played and viewed. After watching the DVD, the draft proposal of building an International Exchange Programs between Lowndes County School and Chia-Yi City Schools was discussed. All of the attending school principals have expressed great interest, and all agreed to join in the Exchange Programs as the hosting schools. They will all be prepared and look forward to welcoming teachers and students from Lowndes County School on June, 2011. "Now we welcome you to Chia-Yi City, located in the plains of southwestern Taiwan, whose people were selected by the World Magazine as the happiest citizens among all 25 counties and cities in Taiwan in past years. In this lovely city, you may be most impressed with its delightful Mayor, Mayor Huang, Ming-Hui. Her vision of "education above everything!!" is both intriguing and admirable." "No matter how hard our days, our children do not make sacrifices. No matter how poor the economy is, we do not allow a poor education. This is why I never hesitated to put 32% of our city's budget into education. Chia-Yi city's development must commit to taking education as our top priority. The competitiveness of the city is a result of its talented citizens, and talented citizens depend on high-quality education. Construction may make a city look big, but only our first-class education and our city's talents and rich culture will make our city great. This is our responsibility to the history and to the generations of Chia-Yi City" "Under her one million dollars' sponsorship, every school in ChiaYi city has embraced and developed "one featured cultural specialty in each school," which has won the school system many national Education Gold Awards and become one of the most significant highlights of Chia-Yi City's outstanding education system. "Mayor Huang asserts that Humanity first; Science and technology in excellence; Advanced innovation and creativity; and Global vision "Mayor Huang has pledged to offer international education and opportunities for students to meet a higher level of competitiveness and achievement in order to succeed in a rapidly changing world and shine in the global stage." "Students in the 7th to 9th grades will visit Ming-Shen Junior High School, with over 3,000 students enrolled. The school is a national Education Gold Award winner. It is proud to be an educational model by fulfilling its magnificent vision of cultivating all-around students by offering a variety of extra-curricular classes as a part of students' required education in middle grades." "Students interested in a technical curriculum will visit an Industrial High School. This school is well-known for preparing students highly competent in the fields of machinery, automotive technology, electric engineering, chemical engineering, architecture, interior design, air conditioning and refrigeration. Exchange students will have hands-on experience in the diverse areas of technical education." "Students interested in business management will visit a Commercial Vocational High School which specializes in data processing, computer science, international trade, visual, graphic communication design and all aspects of business management including accounting and finance. This school maintains an excellent foundation of a traditional business education and a flexible curriculum, preparing students to meet future possible social challenges and global needs." "Students interested in creative arts will visit a High School of Arts. Their curricula focus on fine arts, humanities, drama, literature, music and particularly, multi-cultural aspects of Taiwanese tradition and heritage. Students from this arts school are required to take at least 20 credit hours of art-oriented courses to graduate. Our students may enjoy a distinctive cultural arts experience in this school."
