The US may have increased tariffs with China, but Russia is one of the countries that may reap the benefits. China imports millions of tons of soybean, meat and many other agricultural products, and Russia's exports to China have been increasing. CGTN interviewed the CEO of Rusagro, Russia's largest agricultural company, to learn more about the opportunities the tariffs have in store. After a meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group, the dollar no longer has a place in trade between Russia and China. The two BRICS powerhouses will soon begin using their own currencies when trading between themselves, potentially hastening the decline of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. The two countries will now use ruble and yuan in their transactions. The agreement signed in late October came into force as of Monday. The deal provides a currency swap of 150 billion yuan which is equal to nearly 25 billion dollars. The accord is valid for 3 years, and can be extended. Moscow and Beijing have long been looking for ways to cut the dollar’s role in international trade, and speed up trade between the two countries. The value of trade between Russia and China is nearly 90 billion dollars annually and is expected to reach 200 billion dollars in the next six years. (3 Apr 2018) U.S. President Donald Trump is telling the leaders of the three Baltic countries that no one has been tougher on Russia and says he's been pressing NATO members to increase their defense spending. Trump is telling the presidents of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania that "getting along with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing." Asked by a reporter if Vladimir Putin is a friend or a foe, Trump says, "We'll find out. I'll let you know." The president is pointing to his push for NATO members to boost their defense spending. The meeting comes as the White House has raised the possibility of Trump welcoming Putin to the White House. The Baltic states are seen as a bulwark against Russian aggression in Eastern Europe. The president also said that his administration will be "working" with China to reduce the trade deficit. He said the relationship between the two countries is "very good." (6 Apr 2018) The Trump administration is punishing seven Russian oligarchs and 17 Russian government officials with sanctions for what the U.S. calls Russia's "malign activity" around the world. The Treasury Department says 12 companies owned by the oligarchs are also targeted, along with a state-owned arms-dealing company and a subsidiary bank. Senior Trump administration officials say the sanctions are not in response to any one activity. They say it's about punishing Moscow for its confrontational activity, including actions in Crimea and eastern Ukraine, support for Syrian President Bashar Assad, cyber-hacking and attempts to subvert Western democracy. At the Friday White House briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the action proved that, "no one has been tougher on Russia," and called on the totality of Russian behavior to change. The penalties come as the administration tries to show President Donald Trump isn't too soft on the Kremlin. Sanders said the Thursday night proposal to raise U.S. tariffs on an additional $100 billion worth of Chinese goods was in response to "Chinese actions that have gone on for decades." Sanders said the Trump administration did not want the trade fight to escalate into a full trade war, "the president wants to move to a process of free and fair and open trade." Stocks are falling sharply again as trade tensions heat up between the U.S. and China. The Dow Jones industrial average fell as much as 620 points in afternoon trading Friday, its latest big swing this week. The fact Chinese President Xi Jingping chose Russia as his first foreign visit is no surprise to some. The two countries have been strengthening ties for many years. Tourism's growing, there's talk of increasing energy cooperation, and in 2011 trade volume between the two topped 80 billion dollars, a figure expected to double in a few years. North China's Heihe city is literally at the front line of this cross border trade. Bordering Russia's Far Eastern city of Blagoveshchensk, the fast growing town is building its economy on Beijing's newfound love for Moscow.

(12 Sep 2018) LEADIN It's predicted Iran will look even more to China as an alternative oil market amid ongoing US sanctions. But analysts say Beijing will extract maximum benefit from the situation and could even take advantage of Iran. STORYLINE It's hard not to see China wherever you look in Iran. From Chinese goods flooding markets to its business people eager for deals as Western business interests flee, Iran is likely to further embrace Beijing as an alternative market for its crude oil and financial transactions amid uncertainty over the nuclear deal. With President Donald Trump's decision to pull America from the accord, China could be one of the few avenues left open to Iran. The Chinese have stressed they want the nuclear deal to continue and support any talks toward that end. But that doesn't mean China offers a safe haven to Iran without conditions. Beijing will likely try to extract the maximum benefit, analysts say. While there, he made billions of dollars worth of trade deals--and made some political statements as well. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has wrapped up the last day of his brief trip to Beijing, after meetings with some of the Chinese regime's top figures. These included Communist Party leader Hu Jintao, Premier Wen Jiabao, and head of the National People's Congress, Wu Bangguo. Putin expressed hope his two-day visit would broaden trade with China, which he expects to grow to $200 billion US dollars by 2020. That would mean an over 300% increase from current figures. Key to this growing trade relationship is a vast gas export deal, which the two countries have been haggling over for five years. It would see Russia, one of the world's great energy exporters, providing huge quantities of gas to energy-hungry China. So far, the devil has been in the details, with no agreement over many specific parts of the plan. But, at least according to Putin, the two sides are closer than ever to inking that deal. His visit also saw $7 billion dollars worth of other deals in various sectors, including biotechnology and space exploration. All of this relationship strengthening comes as Russia and China seem to increasingly have much in common politically, as well. The countries joined forces last week to veto a UN Security Council resolution condemning Syria for its bloody crackdown on protesters. Critics of both governments allege that they also marginalize civil rights and democracy internally. While in China, Putin was also quoted as saying that "the US dollar's monopoly is a parasite"--a possible statement of support for Chinese authorities, in their economic wranglings with the United States over currency issues.

A freight train fully loaded with Russian wheat arrived at Manzhouli in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday. This is the first bulk shipment of Russian wheat to enter China via the land port since the two countries reached deals on quarantine inspection requirements for exporting Russian wheat, corn, rice and soybean to China in December 2015. Russia replaced the United States as the world's top wheat exporter last year with 25 million tons of exports, according to figures provided by the Russian side. Chen Lixin, Party chief of Manzhouli City, said China's import of Russian wheat is a new breakthrough in bilateral trade and economic cooperation achieved within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. Egypt was one of the non-members invited to this year's BRICS Summit. Previously, the European Union had been the biggest source of Egyptian imports. But China and Russia combined accounted for nearly 12% of Egypt's total trade volumes in part of the 2015-16 fiscal year. CGTN's Ramah Nyang' spoke to Ashraf Naguib. He's the Secretary General of the Asia-Egypt Business Association. I started by asking him if Egypt's business community expected any concrete gains from the country's participation in this year's summit. Today News - China using Russian strategy in trade war with America A big Chinese trade counter-assault may be on its way: a deliberate devaluation of the yuan, with the aim of offsetting the impact of U.S. tariffs, experts tell Axios. If they are right, China will be mimicking an ultra-successful stratagem used by Russia to weather four years of withering western sanctions over its invasion of Ukraine. Whats going on: The yuan has plunged by 4.5% in value against the dollar over the last month, making Chinese goods cheaper in the U.S. and American products more... The International North South Transportation Corridor (INSTC) connecting Mumbai with St Petersburg and beyond – which has been 17 years in the making – is set to be operationalised from the middle of next month with the first consignment from India to Russia. Although the formal operationalisation of INSTC is planned for mid-January, the corridor will start functioning fully in a few months thereafter, according to people aware of the matter. Hectic preparations are underway to firm up all elements of the corridor in all key stakeholder states, informed officials. A Russian railway operator is expected to play key role in INSTC. India, Iran and Russia had in September 2000 signed the INSTC agreement to build a corridor to provide the shortest multi-model transportation route linking the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf to the Caspian Sea via Iran and St Petersburg. From St Petersburg, North Europe is within easy reach via the Russian Federation. The estimated capacity of the corridor is 20-30 million tonnes of goods per year. Conceived well before China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), INSTC will not only help cut down on costs and time taken for transfer of goods from India to Russia and Europe via Iran but also provide an alternative connectivity initiative to countries in the Eurasian region. It will be India’s second corridor after the Chabahar Port to access resource rich Central Asia and its market. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, in an indirect criticism of the BRI project while addressing a meeting of the heads of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states on Friday last week, emphasised on the need to make connectivity corridors inclusive. The operationalisation of Chabahar Port (whose Phase 1 was inaugurated on Sunday) coupled with INSTC will be a game changer for India’s strategic and economic goals in the Eurasian region, where China has benefited from its geographical contiguity, experts told ET. These connectivity routes promise to open up a sea of opportunity for India, they said, and the country may even consider working jointly with Russia on economic projects in the Eurasian region. INSTC could get linked to the Chabahar Port besides Iran’s Bandar Abbas port, said an official, who did not wish to be identified. India also hopes that INSTC will be connected with various other connectivity projects that the five Central Asian and other Eurasian countries have undertaken among themselves, the official said. “INSTC is now becoming a reality. Chabahar project launched in 2016 will complement INSTC. India is also exploring how Chabahar connectivity corridor can be extended to connect with Central Asia through INSTC, or the Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan rail line, Iran-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan alignment and Trans-Afghan rail line (which possibly could be developed by Iran, India, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan),” said P Stobdan, India’s former envoy to Kyrgyzstan and noted expert on Central Asia. India’s ratification of international customs INSTC has been expanded to include 11 new members – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Oman, Syria and Bulgaria (as observer). international north south transport corridor map, international north south transport corridor the hindu, india to russia train route map, international north south transport corridor gktoday, international north south transport corridor mrunal, india to russia train map, instc upsc, instc pib,pak china corridor, india iran afghanistan corridor, pakistan media about india, pakistan about india, cpec, economic corridor project, chahbahar, chabahar, gwadar, gawadar, gawader,Comparing Chabahar Port with Gwadar Port,Chinese government schemes, chabahar vs gwadar which is better, chabahar india's answer to gwadar, gwadar vs chabahar capacity, distance between chabahar and gwadar, comparison of gwadar and chabahar port, comparison between gwadar and chabahar port in urdu, russia, india, corridor, international, north, south, putin, modi, usa, vladimir putin, soviet union, trump, syria, donald trump, cold war, news, nato, north korea, current events, president trump, ukraine, world news,ussr,nuclear,politics,2017,united states, breaking news,us news, breaking, msnbc, world war 3,end times, military, war, america, president, world, msnbc news, msnbc live,us,ww3,news channel, navy, top stories, political news, president donald trump, elections, msnbc tv In india various types of languages are spoken but our national language id Hindi but here are lots of people in south india. north east who can't speak or under stand hindi but they can understand english language so finally we decided to make video in both language so that each and every person can understand and can be informed about defence news on youtube .our videos are related to global defence news . we try to update defence news as soon as possible without any editing but we never say its 100% true but try to get it from verified sources .
