In Islamic finance, istisna' is generally a long-term contract whereby a party undertakes to manufacture, build or construct assets, with an obligation from the manufacturer or producer to deliver them to the customer upon completion. In practice, the key advantage of an istisna’ contract is that it can provide flexibility to the customer, where payments can be made in installments linked to project completion, at delivery or after project completion. In contrast to istisna', for salam contract the payment has to be made in full, in advance.

They reveal the story of the world economy. By being alert to signals anyone can start to navigate through the turbulence to the treasures of the world economy, instead of being overwhelmed and surprised by it. Pippa Malmgren (@DrPippaM) is Founder of DRPM Group and a former US Presidential Adviser. She is an alumna of LSE. This event marks the publication of her new book, Signals: the breakdown of the social contract and the rise of geopolitics. Dr Malmgren served as financial market advisor to the President in the White House and on the National Economic Council from 2001-2002. She was a member of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets and the Working Group on Corporate Governance. She dealt with Enron, Sarbanes Oxley as well the Anti-Money Laundering provisions of the Patriot Act and had responsibility for terrorism risks to the economy on the NEC after 9/11. She was the Deputy Head of Global Strategy at UBS and the Chief Currency Strategist for Bankers Trust. She headed the Global Investment Management business for Bankers Trust in Asia. Dr Malmgren has been a visiting lecturer at Tsinghua University in Beijing and an occasional lecturer for INSEAD and the Duke Fuqua Global Executive MBA Program. In 2000 The World Economic Forum in Davos named Dr Malmgren a Global Leader for Tomorrow. She is a Governor and member of the Council of Management of the Ditchley Foundation in the UK. Brooder Management The overall broiler performance is dependent on several management practices. Brooder management is one of the important aspects of broiler rearing and management. The early / developmental stage becomes critical for the overall result and growth of the bird. Hence, care should be taken right from day one. Following are the objectives for brooding management: To ensure strong growth progression from day-old through to 7 days To develop appetite and promote feather growth To achieve target body weight by 14 days / 2 weeks and maintain a smooth curve through to 28 days / 4 weeks To maintain uniformity across the flock Effective brooding management includes providing the chicks with the right temperature, relative humidity, air quality, good quality feed and water. Key points in brooding management are: Clean, disinfect and fumigate the shed and equipment well before the arrival of the chicks Check for the right temperature and humidity levels 24 hours prior to the arrival of the birds Ensure chicks have immediate access to fresh water and feed Use chick behavior as an indicator of satisfactory temperature levels Replenish feed constantly during the brooding period Monitor and ensure chicks feeding by crop fill scores These activities when followed collectively will result in good early development of skeletal size, immune system and cardiovascular system and also improves appetite. Grower & Finisher Management The grower stage is between the 14th and 28th day of the birds life cycle. During this stage, the management objectives are to help the birds develop their immune system, uniform growth, maturity and production. The important functions of this stage is grading of the birds on the basis of their weight, check and maintain body weight on a weekly basis, feed and water management and vaccination. The birds above 28th day of age till lifting are termed finisher. Resource Requirements The environment in which the birds are reared becomes critical for their performance. In addition, it would help if the farm is located closer to the production and marketing centers. A farm that has access to good roads and easy transportation has an added advantage. While setting up a farm, there are a set of must have requirements to be adhered to. Below is a list of the requisites to setting up a poultry farm: Water availability throughout the year. Water quality : Hardness below 750 ppm, pH 6.0 to 8.5 Shed breadth should be 25 feet and shed floor should be at least 2 feet above ground level E.B service, Tube light @ 1No for every 400 sq. ft, is essential Foot bath / dip with disinfectant for better bio – security Separate feed room near to the shed with stacking arrangement for feed bags Water tank - 2 Nos (One for medication and another for drinking water) with capacity of 500 litres for every 1000 sq. ft Side Curtain for the entire length of the shed for both sides, inside and outside Partition for every 500 sq. ft Provision of death pit for disposal of dead birds Plat farm Provision for placing weighing scales 3 feet X 3 feet Broiler Industry in India Chicken in many forms has always been a dish to relish among most Indians. Widely accepted and consumed, the demand for chicken is only increasing. The leadership of BOPEU and indeed of Babereki Investment (Pty) Ltd wishes to inform the media, members of the Union and other stakeholders of their resolution through the board of Babereki Investments to terminate, forthwith, the contract of employment of Mr Andrew Motsamai. The board of Babereki Investments (Pty), which is wholly owned by BOPEU, convened a special meeting on the 11th September 2017 to discuss among other issues Mr Motsamai’s employment contract. It is at this meeting where a decision was made to terminate his contract. Mr Motsamai has been serving as the Executive Chairman of Babereki Investments since 1st March 2017. In the past few weeks, various media platforms from print, radio and social media have been abuzz about the perceived rift between BOPEU and Mr Motsamai. It is not abnormal for an employer and employee to have differences in the work place, but it is utterly worrying when those differences are blown out of proportion and exaggerated through unbalanced media reporting which seeks to portray BOPEU as a sinking Titanic. We want to affirm that BOPEU remains a solid and intact Union and therefore members and stakeholders are advised to remain calm and focused. Furthermore, BOPEU wishes to distance itself from some of the allegations peddled in the media pertaining to the relationship between the Union and Mr Motsamai and what could have led to the termination of his contract. The contractual agreement between BOPEU and the latter is private in nature. BOPEU will not at any point disclose anything regarding the agreement including reasons for the termination of Mr Motsamai’s contract. As a Trade Union, we cannot be seen to be breaching the privacy and confidentiality of employment contracts. We are of the considered view that it is not necessary to delve into the differences or reasons pertaining to the termination of contract. Furthermore, in the interest of good corporate governance, it will be untidy and unprofessional to divulge the deliberations and reasons advanced by the Board of Directors of Babereki Investments (Pty) Ltd in reaching the decision to terminate the contract of employment with Mr. Motsamai. BOPEU remains committed in pursuing its progressive mandate and objectives and we will not be derailed. Our priority remains advancing economic, social and political interests of our collective members. We remain steadfast and unwavering in this journey to build a 21st century trade union. Jasper Westerink said what made them unique about the project is thst Africa has a long history in driving large scale projects. “We do not focus on equipment but we offer full key solution,” he said. Mr. Westerink said in thier work, they get all the relevant stakeholders around the table and together to design the best possible solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Philips will be responsible for the full turnkey design, construction, equipping and commissioning of the hospital location, as well as staff education and equipment maintenance for five years after completion. Mr. Westerink said Philips as a company made a commitment to impact 3 million lives by 2025, saying “We are continuously engaging with governments and stakeholders to meet our target of making impact which we are more than interested to share with Africa.”

A land contract isn't necessarily the right document to use in every state (because some states have laws and statues that make it a difficult type of document to work with in the foreclosure process), but in many areas, it's a perfect fit for a seller financed real estate transaction. In the states where it is used, there are some variations on the specifics of what this document says, but they all accomplish the same general purpose. How Does It Work? With a Land Contract, the seller holds the legal title to the property for the entire term of the loan (i.e. - the deed won’t transfer to the new buyer until after the loan is paid in full), while allowing the buyer to take possession and use the property immediately after signing the land contract. A land contract is typically more favorable for the seller because of the way title is held during the term of the loan, but fundamentally speaking, it’s not a huge variation from what usually happens in a typical lending/borrowing relationship. If you’re financing your first deal, I’d recommend that you take a few minutes to read through this document very carefully. Every state has differences in how this form is written, so it is very important that you understand exactly what you and your buyer are agreeing to. As you read through this document, you’ll see that most of the information isn't surprising – but it will help you understand the responsibilities of both parties for the life of the loan. The European Parliament votes on the trade and investment protection agreements between the EU and Singapore before they can enter into force. Ska Keller MEP, Co-Chair of the European Parliament’s Green group, is calling for a delay to consent. On the ISDS (Investor Dispute Settlement) the special dispute system for investments and the right for investors to sue EU governments if they make a decision that goes against their interests. Keller is concerned about a decision a state might take to re-nationalise a public service. Keller argues that this should be delayed until the multi-lateral dispute system is established. Keller raised concerns about workers’ rights and civil liberties. Keller noted that Singapore had failed to sign two ILO conventions, including one on the freedom of association and the protection of the right to organize.

Under the Supreme Coordination Council, a Steering Committee and Joint Working Groups have been set up at Ministerial and Senior Officials levels, to develop frameworks of cooperation in specific projects and submit recommendations to the respective Ministers. The functioning of the Supreme Council will be coordinated by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. The Supreme Council will meet annually, in Riyadh and Islamabad alternately.
