There are three degrees of brand loyalty: Awareness Preference And Insistence Marketing communication revolves around the three. Customers must know a product exists. Once they do, we need to convince them it is better than competitor products so they can develop a preference. In the best-case scenario, customers who prefer the product will understand its features well, which will develop informational awareness, and that will make them able to explain its benefits to other customers. Continued purchasing of a product, brand insistence, is the goal of promotional communication. It occurs when customers link a product with their own lifestyle. The feeling of personal connection turns repeated customers into raving fans.

Steve Jobs' amazing marketing strategy - MUST WATCH

This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. Marketing events is not as easy at it used to be. Here are 5 of the most advanced tactics successful eventprofs are rolling out to make their events sell out Tactic #1 - Video 65% use video as a key part of their marketing strategy. To master video for your event: Make sure to collect plenty of footage, testimonials and recorded sessions from your event Use video strategically on social media ads. It performs better than words. Use live video in the lead up to the event to get FOMO Tactic #2 - Facebook 52% of event professionals say FB is their favorite channel for event marketing. Your audience will inevitably be on Facebook and as much as we like to think that we use Facebook for personal reasons, it has become also an arena to follow our passions and professional aspirations. What you should focus on if you plan to use Facebook strategically to market your event: Use Facebook ads. Google Facebook remarketing. Get that pixel on your site and pay less for immediate marketing opportunities with those that already visited your site. Be more precise with remarketing. Get a special tag on your check out page for abandoned registration and send targeted messages to get them to finish registration, a discount will incentivize. Use video in your ads. Tactic #3 - Email Marketing 65% of eventprofs say that email marketing is the most effective tool for promoting events. Get your email marketing right: Review your data and previous campaigns. What worked? Where did you get most clicks? Create an email sequence of attentively crafted promotion emails. Use the AIDA process of sales. Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. Get your emails aligned with the different cycles. Use email to reach out to abandoned carts. Tactic #4 - Scarcity In a world with so many events happening around us and the economy booming, how do we capture the attention of our attendees? Closing the doors is an effective strategy for some events to secure attendance and create a level of exclusivity. We see an unprecedented number of events asking people to apply, invitation-only events or a referral code system. How to master scarcity: Make your event invitation-only or by application. Look for a very targeted audience that would please your sponsors or that are keen to spend more. These are your primary targets, who you want in the room. Create higher pricing options. Usually, we discount to get more people through the door. Do the opposite to create disparity in your pricing and VIP areas. Keep aspects of the event secret. Secrecy goes hand in hand with scarcity. Keeping elements of the event available only to some attendees will raise curiosity and stimulate more registrations. Tactic #5 - Event Experience 60% of event planners say that the demand for experiences is increasing. How can you elevate your event to a 360-degree experience? Introduce elements of adventure. Are you engaging attendees to the next level, are you getting them to participate in special activities, tours, scavenger hunts, city activities. The ‘bleisure’ trend is pushing this kind of need in events around the world. Craft social programmes. Connect attendees with each other. Think creatively. Think how you deliver on the needs of your attendees. Design your event around your core objective to increase the experience levels.

Validating this are the figures that clearly show the difference. Between 2009-12 rural India spent around $69 billion whereas urban spent $55 billion. 2) To be Effective wisely choose a rural marketing specialist agency Look out for - The profile of the agency and its experience - Their areas of specialisation - Their creative team and their capability to communicate vernacularly - Their regional presence 3) ‘Cookie cutter’ model will not work As rural sector due to its potential calls for a team that can differentiate between the urban and rural market and its strategies. 4) Rural markets means ONE FAMILY ONE BRAND Defying convention that says rural household is ruled by one brand, a marketer must know that each user has its own brand. 5) Technology surprisingly is the foundation of rural growth Today rural India if not completely still are players in mobile and internet marketing. Facility of banking, advertisements and availability of gadgets ensure opening of this route of marketing for rural population. 6) Tradition and value systems have to be well respected You can never go wrong or play with values and traditions while dealing with rural India. 10 Offline marketing strategies to grow your business. Best offline marketing ideas that still work

Here is the link to get 90% OFF on my full marketing course with 13 hours of tutorials: https://www.udemy.com/marketing-plan-strategy-become-a-great-marketer/?couponCode=y Here is a 90% OFF discount to my offline marketing course which elaborates on the offline marketing strategies talked about in this tutorial: https://www.udemy.com/offline-marketing-strategies/?couponCode=two And here is a link to my event management and marketing course, which is one of the top offline marketing tips mentioned in this video: https://www.udemy.com/event-marketing-how-to-create-a-successful-event-series/?couponCode=lair In this video I give you 10 offline marketing ideas that you can use starting today to help grow your business, make a stronger community around your business, generate revenue, get clients, and begin business relationships that may last for many years to come. The main offline marketing strategies I talk about in this video are promoting your business with events, getting referrals (professional and customer referrals), business card marketing, promoting with flyers, doing business networking, and a few other techniques like getting yourself appearances on the radio. My offline marketing course has a few more offline marketing strategies, and my full marketing course has over 13 hours of tutorials on how you can promote your business using offline marketing, social media marketing, SEO (search engine optimization), and many various additional techniques on things like how to promote local businesses and position yourself and your business as an expert in your niche (which event marketing and getting yourself on the radio already start to do for you). The difficulty with offline marketing is that it doesn't scale well. That means that many of these offline promotion tips won't get you the fast growth that social media or many online strategies would potentially give you. But that is ok. You don't need to hit a home run with every promotional strategy that you try out. With offline marketing, you have a chance to meet people face to face, and forge real connections. This gives you a chance to make better clients who are more loyal, and who might engage with your business more than people who might find your website or social media account online. People online never truly get to know you, and their commitment to your business is much weaker. So if you do your offline marketing right, you can create much better and more loyal customers with it. Here is a few other videos you might find helpful with promoting your business. 25 Facebook marketing tips: http://youtu.be/zd8eG0WDJvI 25 Twitter marketing tips: http://youtu.be/MEf0HekbLXk Beginner to advanced social media marketing tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVh3ZAutEQg Beginner to advanced SEO (search engine optimization) tutorial: https://youtu.be/-dyfZSN0eHY 15 LinkedIn marketing tips: https://youtu.be/XeuqIjyIVSY 50 ways to make money online: http://youtu.be/XcIleEkezBY

Music Marketing: Strategy [7 Steps] (Music Business Lesson MM-001)

11:48
C'mon over to http://www.musicbusinessinstitute.com to get your free 3-part video training series for musicians. In this lesson James Taylor of the Music Business Institute goes through the 7 steps of successful music marketing. It's both a blueprint and a roadmap that you can also use to create the kind of music career you desire. It's also deceptively simple although the implementation will require that you learn some step-by-step techniques and tactics. 1. Build Your Fan Lists What is the one thing that all successful artists have in common - LISTS. Lists are the lifeblood of your business as a musician and without them it's almost impossible to make a living from your craft. 2. Develop Relationships With Fans The relationship with your lists will sustain you emotionally, creatively and financially over many, many years if you do it right. However if you disrespect your lists, speak down to them, or treat them as just a source of income then you are likely to have a very short career in music indeed. 3. Learn What Fans Want There exists two main schools (or Tribes) in the marketing of music, the Cool Kids and The Musicpreneur. These two tribes have very different thoughts when it comes to innovation in music and the idea of listening to your fans. 4. Create Work That Excites Fans A musician today has two jobs; creating and communicating. Music Business Institute is primarily about teaching the latter rather than the former because we have to assume you know how to create exciting work. Creating is about honing your craft as a musician. Communicating is about learning how to market and sell what you have created. It's why we call it the Music Business. Music + Business. 5. Identify Fan Type OK, by this point you know that building lists, developing relationships with them, learning what they want and creating work that excites them is important. The 'fan ladder' looks to move someone from just being mildly interested in your music to where they will buy everything you ever produce (concert tickets, recordings, merchandise). You want to move them from being a 'suspect' to a 'super fan' or "true fans". 6. Empower Super Fans Successful artists always have their own small army of super fans. Beliebers (Justin Bieber), Swifties (Taylor Swift), Little Monsters (Lady Gaga), Lovatics (Demi Lovato) and Smilers (Miley Cyrus) are all examples of Super Fans. 7. Promote Work Using Events The final step is about promoting your work using events. Firstly events they create excitement around your music. There are different types of events which can be used to promote your work. There are product launch events, tour announcement events, promotional events and many more. Go to http://www.musicbusinessinstitute.com to claim your free 3-part video training series for musicians.

8 Movies with Innovative Promotional strategies

03:00
So here, we list down a few examples of stars that have gone all out to promote their film and have tried to create a stronger and direct connect with the audience: Raees- For Raees, Shah Rukh Khan did something that he hadn't done since his stardom in 1992: travel by train! A source was quoted saying "Shah Rukh Khan has not travelled by train since his stardom in 1992. He has been longing to do so for a while. For Raees, Excel Entertainment has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the journey goes smoothly. Of course, Shah Rukh can't travel on the train like an ordinary man. There will elaborate security arrangements, plus Shah Rukh will be accompanied by the Raees Team. Kahaani - You must have noticed posters that say 'Missing' with a hand-sketched picture of a man called Arnab Bagchi in your neighborhood. The poster was a part of a promotional campaign for Kahaani, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and starring Vidya Balan. The missing element stays true to the movie's story about a seven-month pregnant protagonist Vidya Bagchi)who arrives in a strange city, looking for her missing husband. The first look of the movie conveyed to the audience what to expect, and raised a sense of eagerness to know more. Ghajni- We all know that Aamir Khan loves to find weird and wacky ways to showcase his next big movie. The best one we have seen till date among all his promotions is for the movie Ghajini. For Ghajni, the entire staff of the Big Cinemas across India pulled off the Ghajini look. It felt like watching an army of clones set to kill the evil guy. And of course the credit goes to the brainchild Mr Perfectionist Khan. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara- The entire cast of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara took a road trip, starting from Mumbai to Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, and finally ended in Delhi. Loudly and clearly giving out a message about their movie- Travel, friendship and adventure. We are sure the actors bonded well with each other and connected well with the fans too. Daawat-e-Ishq- The movie may be about finding romance, but since Biryani was involved in the lead role, the stars went all out to make food the real hero. Food, being the soul selling point of the film, the duo went on a foodie trail PAN India and promoted their movie while gobbling some really local authentic dishes. Indeed a treat for the actors and the crew. Tamasha- The movie was about a journey, about reaching a destination, about going with the flow and what better way to promote by doing media rounds while travelling. The lead pair has ditched their flight tickets and travelled in a train. They boarded the train from Mumbai which was heading to Delhi along with the director and the fans chased them at the railway station. Chance pe Dance- Movie about luck, about struggle, about certain harsh facts of life... For their film Shahid and Genelia actually spent the night in a car because Shahid’s character lives out of a car in the movie. Imagine actually reliving a scene from the film in real life. How cool is that? 2 States- A wedding in the house!! That’s how the makers of 2 States decided to promote the film and were pretty successful in creating buzz around the same. This was one of the most dramatic promotions done on the social media. Alia Bhatt supposedly tweeted her wedding invite to promote her movie. It was an indeed a unique way to cast a spell on the fans and ensure high ticket sales.
