There are three degrees of brand loyalty: Awareness Preference And Insistence Marketing communication revolves around the three. Customers must know a product exists. Once they do, we need to convince them it is better than competitor products so they can develop a preference. In the best-case scenario, customers who prefer the product will understand its features well, which will develop informational awareness, and that will make them able to explain its benefits to other customers. Continued purchasing of a product, brand insistence, is the goal of promotional communication. It occurs when customers link a product with their own lifestyle. The feeling of personal connection turns repeated customers into raving fans.

This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. You need a marketing strategy to succeed. http://www.deanlewis.biz We take a look at two examples of marketing strategy examples, restaurants and hotels to get a better understand of the exact mix used to promote these two businesses. It's not as simple as just getting a Facebook page and we will explore these needs. Understanding the differences in marketing, even within the same business is critical to success. C'mon over to http://www.musicbusinessinstitute.com to get your free 3-part video training series for musicians. In this lesson James Taylor of the Music Business Institute goes through the 7 steps of successful music marketing. It's both a blueprint and a roadmap that you can also use to create the kind of music career you desire. It's also deceptively simple although the implementation will require that you learn some step-by-step techniques and tactics. 1. Build Your Fan Lists What is the one thing that all successful artists have in common - LISTS. Lists are the lifeblood of your business as a musician and without them it's almost impossible to make a living from your craft. 2. Develop Relationships With Fans The relationship with your lists will sustain you emotionally, creatively and financially over many, many years if you do it right. However if you disrespect your lists, speak down to them, or treat them as just a source of income then you are likely to have a very short career in music indeed. 3. Learn What Fans Want There exists two main schools (or Tribes) in the marketing of music, the Cool Kids and The Musicpreneur. These two tribes have very different thoughts when it comes to innovation in music and the idea of listening to your fans. 4. Create Work That Excites Fans A musician today has two jobs; creating and communicating. Music Business Institute is primarily about teaching the latter rather than the former because we have to assume you know how to create exciting work. Creating is about honing your craft as a musician. Communicating is about learning how to market and sell what you have created. It's why we call it the Music Business. Music + Business. 5. Identify Fan Type OK, by this point you know that building lists, developing relationships with them, learning what they want and creating work that excites them is important. The 'fan ladder' looks to move someone from just being mildly interested in your music to where they will buy everything you ever produce (concert tickets, recordings, merchandise). You want to move them from being a 'suspect' to a 'super fan' or "true fans". 6. Empower Super Fans Successful artists always have their own small army of super fans. Beliebers (Justin Bieber), Swifties (Taylor Swift), Little Monsters (Lady Gaga), Lovatics (Demi Lovato) and Smilers (Miley Cyrus) are all examples of Super Fans. 7. Promote Work Using Events The final step is about promoting your work using events. Firstly events they create excitement around your music. There are different types of events which can be used to promote your work. There are product launch events, tour announcement events, promotional events and many more. http://barrestaurantsuccess.com/3-outrageous-restaurant-marketing-ideas/ Do you know one of the easiest ways to get new customers in your doors? Be outrageous and different from everyone else. Times are tough these days and there’s more competition than ever before. You can’t just be good or average. You must go above and beyond to grab attention and stand out to stay ahead of your competition! Give people a reason to choose you over everyone else I’m Nick Fosberg, and you’re watching Bar Restaurant Success, the place bar and restaurant owners visit to discover how to get ahead in business and in life. Today I’m going to give you 3 outrageous restaurant marketing ideas you should try this year to stand out from the competition and win over brand new customers. As a bonus, I’m going to tell you how to get thousands of dollars in free advertising with these promotions too! The first restaurant marketing idea is a food eating competition. Now you might be saying, Nick, this isn’t a marketing idea, it’s a restaurant promotion. Yes, you are right but soon you’ll see how all these promotions are going to tie into one key strategy to bring you hundreds of new customers based around one simple tactic. So, why run a food eating competition? Because people love to be entertained, it’s different, and nobody else is probably doing one of these right now in your area! You can go to any bar or restaurant and eat and drink and watch the game, but how many are doing fun crazy things like this. I run a pizza eating competition, a one pound burger eating competition, and a taco eating competition every year and my customers love it! I tried hot dogs but nobody wanted to get in it because nobody wanted to eat hot dogs! If you’re going to try this out, ask your customers what they’d want first. The second outrageous restaurant marketing idea is running a contest and giving away a free meal per day for an entire year. Why do this? Because it’s an amazing offer, it grabs attention, and who doesn’t want to sign up for a free meal, per day, for an entire year? Are you going to lose money running this competition? Nope not a penny. Here’s how I run this promotion. Set up a one page, lead capture website to collect people’s information in order to sign them up. Drive traffic there using Facebook ads and getting your staff to sign people up. To make this really profitable for you, make everyone a winner by giving them some kind of discount when they sign up and give them 7 days to use it to create some quick sales. What I do for the winner who wins the free meal for a year is the free meal is tied to a restriction that it’s dine in only and they must either purchase 2 beverages with it or buy another full priced meal. I make this clear before they sign up so there is no confusion. By adding in these restrictions you at the very least break even on each meal. The third outrageous restaurant marketing idea is to get a celebrity chef to come in. Why? Because everyone wants to meet a celebrity and this helps you build instant credibility! The way to start looking for someone who isn’t take expensive is look up the chefs that are on Bar Rescue or one of the other food tv shows and contact them to see what they’d charge to come in. Maybe get some of the beer, liquor, and food vendors to help sponsor it. Here’s the big bonus I wanted to fill you in on. When you run outrageous restaurant marketing ideas like this, you don’t have to come out of pocket to promote them. You can use the press. All you have to do is send out a press release about the event and if don’t know how to write one, google it and get a template. You can write one in 30 minutes at most. Take that press release and send it out to your tv, radio, and news stations. They will interview you before the event and you’ll get exposure that way. Then most likely they will show up the day of the event to get more footage and you’ll get exposure again, absolutely free! This brings me to my conclusion. In today’s competitive market, you have to run promotions and marketing strategies like this. You have to be different then everyone else. You have to stand out. Because if you don’t, you’ll never reach the success you’re really looking for. Stay with me each week and I promise to keep delivering you with new strategies and promotions to keep you one step ahead of the competition. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below and I’d be happy to answer them!

http://602communications.com/ Dig deep inside Nike branding campaigns and you'll discover a very simple archetype story. By repeating this one story over and over, Nike marketing strategy delivers a powerful shot of customer self-esteem. In this speech from the IMark marketing conference in Iceland, emotional marketing speaker Graeme Newell reveals the five-step formula that keeps Nike branding at the top of the list of the world's most powerful marketers. I love Nike. I love Nike advertising, Nike ads, Nike commercials, Nike marketing strategy, Nike branding, and Nike brand strategy. I love all of it, and I love it a lot. What's more, I'm not alone. Nike ads have built the Nike brand into a juggernaut that appeals to almost every single man, woman, and child on this planet. Nike Advertising Power Why does Nike branding work so well? Nike advertising is full of excitement and everything that makes a good sporting-goods ad, but Nike ads are nearly unique in how good they are. So what is the deal with Nike marketing strategy that makes them so great? It's the message that is contained in Nike commercials and every piece of Nike branding that goes out. Nike advertising revolves around a single, universal emotion that is felt the same by nearly everyone on the planet. The idea of struggle and determination is what gives Nike commercials their fire. And every piece of Nike branding revolves around this thing How Nike Ads Capitalize on Archetypes If it told you that Nike marketing strategy is thousands of years old, you probably wouldn't believe me. However, Nike branding, like their name (originating from the Greek Goddess of Victory Nike) is as old as the Greek Civilization. Great works like the Iliad and the Odyssey revolve around the archetype of the hero. The hero is someone who faces a great foe, one who is seemingly insurmountable, and through dedication and perseverance, prevails. Nike brand strategy truly does hail from the time of the ancient Greeks, and there's a reason it still works. This is because the feelings that Nike commercials evoke are feelings that all humans have. The heroes in Nike advertising are universal heroes, regardless of age, race, gender, or anything else. The Real Message of Nike Commercials Nike commercials show all sorts of ripped, young men and women pushing themselves to the limits against a foe, but what are Nike ads really portraying? They're portraying you and me. Nike brand strategy knows that everyone sees the hero in themselves. Nike branding understands that even though we aren't slaying dragons or rescuing princesses, just getting out of bed in the morning to go to the gym, to work, to school, or anything else, is as trial in and of itself, and Nike commercials are all over that. How Nike Brand Strategy Comes Out in Nike Commercials Nike branding relies on a five-step formula to really drive the Nike marketing strategy home in Nike commercials. Nike ads, with very few exceptions, follow this five step formula in one way or another. The five step formula in Nike advertising is how they show the various stages that the hero must go through in order to fulfil his quest. Nike branding simply channels the story of the hero, one that has been told for millennia, into Nike ads and watches the brand explode. The 5-Steps Nike Branding Uses in Nike Ads Nearly every piece of Nike advertising follows the 5-step formula of Nike branding. First, Nike ads show first to the challenge, in the zone, doubt and suffering, rededication, and finally, victory. Nike branding uses these five steps to universally appeal to men, women, and children all over the world, and to great effect. What Each Step in Nike Marketing Strategy Means Key to Nike ads are the five steps. Nike commercials tend to begin with someone being the first to the challenge, first to the plate, the first up. This is how Nike brand strategy demonstrates first to the challenge. Nike branding then shows the person in the zone, working hard at whatever it is they're doing, and then comes the doubt and suffering. It's at this point in Nike ads that we are unsure if the main character is going to make it through, but then Nike marketing strategy kicks back in with rededication. The character rededicates herself to the goal, and attains victory. So to recap: -Nike advertising is a powerhouse because it taps the deepest emotions we feel as a species -One of these emotions is that of the hero, an archetype that human beings all over the world can all feel -Nike commercials do this by using a 5-step formula that shows the hero overcoming great struggles. http://602communications.com/

Want to know my marketing strategy for 2018? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog 2018 is going to be an exciting year. The analysis on how much money we're spending to generate the traffic and here's what's crazy, most people don't realize this, we generate, let's say a million visitors a month on Neil Patel. Do you know what the cost to get there is with video, production, podcasting, blogging, promotion, ads, link building? $110,000 a month. That's what it averaged out to for 2017. Here are my marketing strategies for 2018. I just bought a blog in the marketing space for a half a million bucks. They get a million visitors a month, and it's cheaper to spend money acquiring people who already have the traffic. So in 2017, I bought Uber Suggest, I think it was around 140 grand. They had very little traffic. I 381 redirected the site, traffic increased and guess what happened? Nothing. I hoped that my traffic would go through the roof, but nothing happened. Uber Suggest was a good acquisition and what I ended up learning from that is, who cares about links? Don't buy anything for the links. Buy it purely based off of traffic and just pay a simple metric. If Uber Suggest has roughly 200,000 visitors per month, I paid a hundred and something; I would have paid 200 grand, the money didn't matter. For a blog that I just spent half a million on, their traffic ranges. On a horrible month, they'll get around 800,000 uniques. In a perfect month, they'll get around, like, 1.2, 1.3 million uniques, and all I'm doing right now is buying as many blogs as possible. My marketing strategy for 2018 is to buy blogs based on of traffic. I look at the top posts that they have and how qualified their visitors are and determine if I can successfully monetize their content. I don't even care if they have revenue. If they don't have revenue, even better. The problem with Search Engine Journal is that they have conferences, they have advertising, and they have contracts for all of it. I don't care for any of that. I just want the traffic. So when you buy all these people for traffic and then you put it into your monetization flow, you can quickly figure out, what is this worth? If I can't make my money back in less than 12 months, I will not buy it. The other marketing strategy that I use when I'm buying these sites is to look for blogs that aren't monetized well. The blog that I ended up buying for half a million bucks, they're not even making three grand a month. If you're not even making three grand a month, that's a good deal, right? They're like; you're going to give me half a million dollars for this? No problem. Another creative marketing strategy I'm doing right now, is trying to buy a really popular marketing tool. I don't want to pay them all the money they're asking for because they want well into the millions, and it isn't worth it. But, I'm trying to work out a deal where I give them X amount of money up front, let's say a million dollars, and then give them a hundred thousand a month over X amount of months or a hundred thousand a year over X amount of years. When I see inefficiencies in sites, I figure I can purchase them and double the revenue because they aren't optimized for traffic or conversions. So buy it for what it's worth, optimize it, and then use the profits to pay them out continually. That way you're not using all of your money and the business is paying, you may have spent a bit more money, but personally, you don't have to spend as much money, and that's my marketing strategy for 2018. My goal is to spend at least $5 million acquiring businesses purely based on their traffic. If you need help or have questions about online or digital marketing or of you're a small business looking for help, leave a comment or question below and I'll personally answer and help you in any way I can!

So here, we list down a few examples of stars that have gone all out to promote their film and have tried to create a stronger and direct connect with the audience: Raees- For Raees, Shah Rukh Khan did something that he hadn't done since his stardom in 1992: travel by train! A source was quoted saying "Shah Rukh Khan has not travelled by train since his stardom in 1992. He has been longing to do so for a while. For Raees, Excel Entertainment has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the journey goes smoothly. Of course, Shah Rukh can't travel on the train like an ordinary man. There will elaborate security arrangements, plus Shah Rukh will be accompanied by the Raees Team. Kahaani - You must have noticed posters that say 'Missing' with a hand-sketched picture of a man called Arnab Bagchi in your neighborhood. The poster was a part of a promotional campaign for Kahaani, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and starring Vidya Balan. The missing element stays true to the movie's story about a seven-month pregnant protagonist Vidya Bagchi)who arrives in a strange city, looking for her missing husband. The first look of the movie conveyed to the audience what to expect, and raised a sense of eagerness to know more. Ghajni- We all know that Aamir Khan loves to find weird and wacky ways to showcase his next big movie. The best one we have seen till date among all his promotions is for the movie Ghajini. For Ghajni, the entire staff of the Big Cinemas across India pulled off the Ghajini look. It felt like watching an army of clones set to kill the evil guy. And of course the credit goes to the brainchild Mr Perfectionist Khan. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara- The entire cast of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara took a road trip, starting from Mumbai to Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jaipur, and finally ended in Delhi. Loudly and clearly giving out a message about their movie- Travel, friendship and adventure. We are sure the actors bonded well with each other and connected well with the fans too. Daawat-e-Ishq- The movie may be about finding romance, but since Biryani was involved in the lead role, the stars went all out to make food the real hero. Food, being the soul selling point of the film, the duo went on a foodie trail PAN India and promoted their movie while gobbling some really local authentic dishes. Indeed a treat for the actors and the crew. Tamasha- The movie was about a journey, about reaching a destination, about going with the flow and what better way to promote by doing media rounds while travelling. The lead pair has ditched their flight tickets and travelled in a train. They boarded the train from Mumbai which was heading to Delhi along with the director and the fans chased them at the railway station. Chance pe Dance- Movie about luck, about struggle, about certain harsh facts of life... For their film Shahid and Genelia actually spent the night in a car because Shahid’s character lives out of a car in the movie. Imagine actually reliving a scene from the film in real life. How cool is that? 2 States- A wedding in the house!! That’s how the makers of 2 States decided to promote the film and were pretty successful in creating buzz around the same. This was one of the most dramatic promotions done on the social media. Alia Bhatt supposedly tweeted her wedding invite to promote her movie. It was an indeed a unique way to cast a spell on the fans and ensure high ticket sales. Want to increase your holiday sales this year? Here are 7 marketing tips, ideas, & strategies to help you get started! Here’s an interesting stat: the National Retail Federation shows that 40% of shoppers start their holiday shopping before Halloween. So if you’re not prepared for the holiday season by October 1st, you’re missing out! But what is the best online marketing strategy for the holidays? Here are 7 tips to get you ready for the holiday season: 1 - Figure out what holidays you’d like to run promotions for and what those promotions should be (such as a coupon for 25% off, or buy 1 get 1 free, etc…). It’s ideal to plan this annually for the entire year and then adjust as you go. But for the main holiday season you really need to be prepared by September 1st. 2 - Create leaderboard banners for your website to promote the holiday. You can also create landing pages for your website if needed, but in many cases, the leaderboard banner will do the job just fine. 3 - Write the ad copy and design all the ads for the holiday promo. Match your leaderboard banner design. Design ads for all your major marketing channels (Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc..) 4 - Design email template for the holiday promo. These should also match the leaderboard banner and ad designs (are you sensing a theme?) 5 - Determine when you want the holiday campaign to run and what daily budget you’d like to invest. 6 - Put somebody in charge of taking the campaign live (activating coupons, adding leaderboard banners, activating the ads, sending the emails, etc..) and, just as importantly - taking everything down at the scheduled time. 7 - Record your results and make adjustments for the next holiday. Save your assets! This will save you a lot of time and effort next year. By following this process you’ll be organized and prepared well before the holiday seasons so you’re not rushing things at the last minute. This will put you ahead of the curve and help you drive more sales! --- Thanks for watching. If you found this content helpful please take a second and like, share and comment.
