What are EIS investments? This video explains how you can invest tax-efficiently in smaller companies with the Enterprise Investment Scheme. *NEW*: From 6 April 2018, investors can get twice the EIS allowance when investing in knowledge-intensive companies. Also, since the Finance Bill went through parliament in March 2018, asset-backed and contract-backed (the so-called ‘safer’) EIS investments are no longer likely to qualify. So what do you need to know about EIS investments in 2018/2019 and beyond? For a start there are generous tax incentives: investors can receive 30% income tax relief (up to £600,000 a year, when investing in knowledge-intensive companies) and defer unlimited capital gains. Any income and growth is also tax free, losses are tax deductible, and the value of your investment can be IHT-free after two years. EIS investments can be into single companies or a managed portfolio. They are always into young, entrepreneurial and growth-oriented companies. This video explains quickly how EIS investments work. Find out more about EIS investments, and see current offers: https://www.wealthclub.co.uk/enterprise-investment-scheme/ Important note: This video is not advice nor personal recommendation. EIS investments are higher risk and not for everyone. Capital is at risk. Tax benefits depend on circumstances and tax rules can change.

In particular, he highlights five investment success principles. When Stefan was 18 years old, he read a finance book called, "The Wealthy Barber”, by David Chilton. The earlier you start investing, the sooner you can make mistakes and learn from them, and you have a higher risk tolerance. Stefan started from nothing, and has been able to build himself up to a millionaire, at 30 years old. Are you ready to invest in your future? In our latest video, One Investments’ ( http://oneinvestments.co.uk/ ) CEO and industry expert Zeeshaan Shah talks about how to earn the maximum return on investment. As Zeeshaan explains, to achieve a maximum return from space in real estate is from a hotel. Using the example of property in Greenwich, Zeeshaan highlights that family suites which are 300 square foot in size, rent out for approximately £1,200 a month. However, just next door, studios of a very similar size to these hotel rooms rent out for £200 a day in hotel – over course of months £6,000. Two properties of the same space, however, there is a massive difference in money earned. London’s average occupancy is one of the highest in the world at 85%. If occupancy of hotel is at this level, then the gross return will be £5,100. After costs, you will still make over £2,000 which is over 100% increase in value. If you are looking to develop your property portfolio please feel free to get in touch with Zeeshaan and the One Investment Team, either by phone: +44 (0) 8450 170 053, the One Investments website: http://oneinvestments.co.uk/ or via email and they will be more than happy to share their expertise on the market and key areas of opportunity. http://sensibleinvesting.tv -- the independent voice of passive investing A remarkable 54-minute film featuring some of the world's top economists and academics and demonstrating: * how the claims of active fund managers to be able to beat the market are largely a myth * how costs are the biggest drag on performance - and why active costs more * how passive investing offers the best experience for the vast majority of investors * the benefits of a diversified portfolio in guaranteeing consistent returns * why passive investing is better for your health * why active investing has held sway for so many years.... * ... but why things may be changing * and why passive is the rational, mathematically proven route to investing success. Investing for the future... It's an issue none of can afford to ignore. No one's job is safe these days... How would you cope if you lost yours? We're all living longer too... So are you saving enough to fund 25 years or more of retirement? Can you really afford to pay for your children or grandchildren to go to university - or help them onto the property ladder? And what about all those holidays you promised yourself? We entrust the vast bulk of our investments to fund managers. Here in the UK, according to Her Majesty's Treasury, the industry has more than four TRILLION pounds of investors' money under management. Fund managers invest people's savings wherever they see fit - mainly in equities, or shares in listed companies. They claim to be experts at making our making grow, using their expert knowledge to pick the shares that will outperform the market. But all too often the returns they produce are considerably lower than the average return of a benchmark index like the FTSE 100 - or the S&P 500 in the States. For veteran investment guru John Bogle, the problem is simple. Fund managers just aren't as smart as they like to think they are. As it means trading against the view of numerous market participants with superior information, buying or selling a security is effectively just a bet. So, whilst your fund manager might lead you to believe it's his knowledge or intelligence that enables you to beat the market, he's really no better than a gambler. So, you might be lucky enough to choose the right fund manager. But you could just as easily pick the wrong one. According to the financial services company Bestinvest, there are currently nearly £10 billion of UK investors' money languishing in what it calls dog funds - in other words, funds which have underperperformed their benchmark index for at least three consecutive years. Ultimately, of course, fund managers are businesses. They exist to make money for themselves. They want our business - even if it means persuading us to invest in a fund which they themselves wouldn't want to put their own money in. It's now time to look at what it actually costs us to invest. Fund managers are, of course, businesses. And, like all business, they have overheads. Running a big fund management company doesn't come cheap - esepcially when top managers earn around £2 million a year, including bonuses. And remember, it's you, the customer, who picks up the tab. Ultimately, though, fund managers need to make a profit. In fact they'e making around £10 billion from us every year - and that's regardless of whether or not they manage to produce a profit for us. Part of the challenge is working out exactly what we are being charged. Investors typically use something called the annual Total Expense Ratio, or TER, to compare the cost of investing in different funds. But, the TER excludes dealing commission, stamp duty and other turnover costs that can add considerably to the expense of investing over time. So, apart from those hidden charges, what else are we having to pay? More importantly, what sort of impact do charges have on the value of our investments? And the bad news doesn't stop there. Despite a marked increase in competition, management charges in the UK have been steadily rising over the last ten years. There are some encouraging signs for consumers. The FSA's Retail Distribution Review will require fund managers to be fairer and more transparent when it comes to charges. In the meantime, investors should be on their guard. Investors capital protection has been put at the forefront when designing this bond to insure against the risk of capital loss. With this in mind an insurance policy guarantees at all times investors’ capital from risks of loss. This insurance policy has been specifically tailored to the bond providers exacting trading model. For the first time, access is offered at a low entry level of £5,000 to a low risk fully capital protected trading platform, which previously was only available to large financial institutions with tens of millions of capital. This is done through the bond issuers long-standing relationships with fund managers, traders and professionals at the highest level within the financial sector, which are not available to retail investors. Profits are generated in a low risk manner by buying and selling securities through a well-known method called arbitrage. Arbitrage is the simultaneous purchase and sale of an asset, in order to profit from the price differences between a seller and a buyer of financial instruments. These transactions will only take place if they have been pre-sold at a profit prior to purchase, with a contract binding the purchaser to complete, removing any risk for the investor. This fixed income investment market accounts for trillions of pounds every year through the world’s financial institutions, which until now was previously a closed market for private individuals. All subscriptions into the bond will be received by a regulated payments services provider (Security Trustee) in the UK. They are then placed directly by this FCA regulated company into the chosen trades with a first charge over the contract. The security trustee will then hold profits in an independent designated deposit account account which is known as a sinking fund. This means that all bond subscriptions and profits are ring-fenced and secure. Should you require access to your money quickly this can be done in writing with funds received in 30 days. This is subject to receiving 95% of the bonds nominal value. This can now be accessed through an exclusive bond only available through Protected Capital. EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE ONLY FROM PROTECTED CAPITAL

And it was quite a milestone for both the BBC2 programme and Mo Bro’s, which is the brainchild of Keval Dattani, Kunal Dattani and Savan Dattani. That’s because the brothers walked away with the biggest investment from the last two series of the show, which sees entrepreneurs pitch for backing from five venture capitalists in exchange for a share in the business. From a number of offers on the table, the trio plumped for Peter Jones CBE and Den newcomer Tej Lelvani, CEO of Vitabiotics, who agreed to invest £150,000 in return for a 20 per cent stake in the firm. Launched three years ago, Mo Bro’s grew from just a £750 investment into a firm with international appeal and a £1.3million turnover. (27 Mar 2017) LEADIN: Qatar's finance minister has announced an additional 5 billion pounds (6.3 billion US dollars) in investment in the UK. Ali Shareef Al Emadi is in London attending a forum to promote business between the two countries. STORYLINE: The conference room at the Grosvenor House Hotel is packed for the Qatar-UK Business and Investment Forum. More than 400 British and Qatari business leaders and senior politicians are attending the event. The Qatari delegation is led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar. It's a sign of just how important business is between these two nations - bilateral trade is valued at 5 billion pounds (6.3 billion US dollars) a year. Qatar already has 35 billion pounds (44 billion US dollars) of existing investment in the UK. And the country's finance minister has announced that will increase by an extra 5 billion (6.3 billion US dollars) over the next three to five years. "We're looking at the UK as one of our top 10 trading partners," says Ali Shareef Al Emadi. "I think the track record for both countries is extremely positive and well received. If you look at what we've done 10, 15 years in the UK it's been an absolutely great story for us." And British companies have huge investments in Qatar too. In 2015, UK exports to the Gulf country totalled 2.6 billion pounds (3.3 billion US dollars). El Amadi says British companies have done "extremely well" in Qatar's hydrocarbon sector, but believes there are also opportunities in infrastructure, technology, health and sport sectors. UK trade is likely to undergo massive change as it negotiates its exit from the European Union. Exports of goods and services currently account for about 27 percent of the British economy, with almost half of exports going to the EU. While some warn Brexit could harm British business, Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox believes it's a chance to look "beyond the boundaries" of Europe. "This of course means forging new ties and building new relationships with other nations. But perhaps more importantly, to strengthening our commitment to our oldest friends and allies. Qatar is one of the most valued of these," he tells the forum. Big brands like Qatar Airways are represented at the forum. And Qatar is heavily invested in British companies too - high end retailer Harrods, Barclays Bank and the iconic London skyscraper The Shard have all received backing. Private company Al Sawari Holdings has long had a presence in the UK. It has business in a range of industries including real estate, hospitality, construction and manufacturing. Its chairman Sheikh Turki Bin Faisal Al Thani explains why Britain is such an attractive place to invest. "It's a very stable market, it's resistant to change. At the same time, it's a diversified market and for us it's also an international hub," he says. "Our presence here exposes us to more international companies, allows us to develop a stronger network, to even get opportunities to be a part of business outside the UK, through the UK." And he's cautiously optimistic about post-Brexit Britain. "Every country has a period of up and down. But we've been with the UK for many years now and I don't think this will change," he says. "Our investments are always long term so even though we can expect a bit of a dip in the coming years, that's not our vision, our vision is to look in the next 30 years." The government intends to introduce new regulation that recognizes micro-insurance as an independent line of insurance. The move aimed at increasing the low level of insurance penetration in the country will see insurers operate three lines of insurance namely life, general and micro insurance. Speaking at the launch of the British American investment company IPO Prime Minister Raila Odinga said that the government intends to introduce new regulations to ease the running of the insurance sector in order to enable them underwrite more risks for a wider majority of Kenyans. The Ipo which runs to the 5th of august will see the company list 650 million shares on the Nairobi Stock Exchange.a

Dividend stocks outperform the rest of the stock market and put cash in your pocket. Dividend investing is safer than other investing strategies and will help you reach your investing goals.
