10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist

09:42
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises! We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible! TIMESTAMPS Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50 Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33 Emperor tamarin 2:13 Patagonian Mara 3:04 Fluffy cow 3:52 Markhor Goat 4:44 Raccoon dog 5:23 Blue Footed Booby 6:25 Malayan Colugo 7:13 Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09 BONUS 8:56 SUMMARY - The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name! - The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire). - They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II. - Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into crèches for safety. - Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys. - If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail! - If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you - raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon. - Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming. - Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart. - Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating. BONUS Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies... 8 Strange Animals Once Thought To Be Extinct

12:59
When you think of extinct animals, the woolly mammoth and dodo bird are two popular ones that might come to mind. But what if we were to tell you that extinct animals might not be truly extinct after all? Now, we're not trying to say that the woolly mammoth has been hiding in plain sight this whole time, but researchers have rediscovered a few other species of animal that they’d previously believed were gone for good. How could this possibly happen? Well, deforestation and destruction to habitat can sometimes cause the numbers of certain species to dwindle drastically; so drastically that some of the tinier species are able to hide away from the human eye for decades. The horned marsupial frog is one such creature. It actually made a team of biologists jump for joy after they found the species alive in a remote section of western Ecuador. In the case of the coelacanth, this fish was presumed to have gone extinct with the dinosaurs over 65 million years ago. Yet, a living one was then discovered in 1939, changing the way that we viewed extinct animals forever. As this video will soon show you, sometimes extinct animals are simply flying under the radar. Other times, extinct animals evolve to become another species entirely, like the Javan elephant. Even if we are thankfully able to bring some species back from extinction, they still usually only remain in small numbers and are considered critically endangered. Plus, if you thought that deforestation was bad enough, tourists actively looking for the pygmy tarsier can cause the species so much stress that they are known to purposely bash their heads in. So make sure to think of that the next time that you’re out exploring our beautiful world! 10 Exotic Animals You Can Keep as Pets at Home

12:37
How to keep an exotic pet. It can be a skunk, a fennec, or even a capybara. Above all, it’ll cost you quite a lot of money and effort to take care of one of those creatures. But if you’re ready to accept the challenges and responsibilities, pay attention to these important tips any exotic pet owner must follow. TIMESTAMPS: Capybara 1:08 Fennec 2:23 Axolotl 3:28 Sugar Glider 4:49 Genet 5:56 Hedgehog 6:56 Electric Blue Crayfish 7:43 Kinkajou 8:36 Fox 9:40 Skunk 11:14 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY: - The capybara is a huge but very friendly rodent that can weigh up to 140 lb. This intelligent animal can make friends with anyone and gets along well with cats, dogs, and birds. You can easily train your capybara, and it won’t show any resistance or aggression. - The fennec is the size of a chihuahua, weighs no more than 3 lb, and is getting more and more popular as a pet. It is an extremely friendly creature that’s full of energy. - Despite being a popular domestic pet, the axolotl is on the verge of total extinction. Catching this amphibian in natural waters is prohibited, but it’s OK to breed it at home. - Sugar gliders are incredibly affectionate and strongly attached to their owners and the animals they live with. Flying squirrels are nonaggressive, and they respond well to voice intonation and can be trained in simple commands. - Genets get really attached to their homes. Despite its exotic looks, the genet is unpretentious. Its main needs are regular feedings and a clean tray. - Hedgehogs are good-natured and have an amazing ability to get used to home conditions quickly. Remember that hedgehogs are predators, and raw meat should be the core of their diet. - The electric blue crayfish need clean water, a large aquarium, and a place to hide in there. - The kinkajou is curious and loves following its owner wherever they go, hanging off their shoulders and sitting on their lap. They don’t really make any trouble and easily adapt to a new home. - Foxes have quite a specific character: they are devoted but independent and very curious, trustful, and playful. Finding a common language with this pet will take a long time, so you have to be patient. - Skunks are affectionate and very loyal, much like dogs. A tame skunk doesn’t use its fetid weapons at home. The main thing is to regularly comb out the animal and trim its claws. #exoticpet #animalplanet #exoticanimal Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

10 Most Shocking Real Mutations In Animals

04:44
Top 10 scariest animal mutations that are from your nightmares Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Other Videos You Might Like: 10 REAL Abnormally Large Creatures You Won't Believe! https://youtu.be/QWA2r8zMFl4 10 Teens You Won't Believe Actually Exist! https://youtu.be/tEoVAuFmZhk Description: The animal kingdom is a vast variety of different animals. From cats to reptiles to sea creatures, there is so much to appreciate and admire from animals that we seldom think about the human impact on their survival. The list of endangered species is growing by the day, and we are losing some of the most beautiful animals that have ever existed due to overhunting, drought, manipulating nature, and uses of chemicals. When exposed, several animals today have been born with genetic mutations that cause deformities and physical mutations that defy the laws of biology and physics. If there are no chemicals or nuclear plants present, there have been cases of man trying to cross breed different species for the purposes of creating new animals. Dogs are notorious victims of this practice, which is why we now have “designer” dogs that were never meant to exists. Sometimes, mutations can go nuts to the point where what is born is completely creepy and sends shivers up all of our spines. We feel both horror and pity towards the animal, and in most cases, the animal isn’t able to survive with the mutations and ends up having to be put out of its misery. While some of the stories can be tragic, there are also survival stories that are both incredible and inspiring, even if the animal still manages to creep us out and make us really uncomfortable. Here are stories of creepy mutated animals that you won’t believe are real and not photoshopped. HOW ANIMALS SEE THE WORLD

04:12
Did you know that pigeons have better vision than us? Have you ever wondered how animals and birds actually see the world? What do fish see when they look at us? This video will explain all these to the smallest details! TIMESTAMPS Snakes 0:20 Cows 0:35 Horses 0:53 Fish 1:12 Birds 1:32 Eagle 1:50 Pigeon 2:01 Sparrow 2:10 Insects 2:17 Bee 2:32 Rats 2:41 Cats 2:53 Dogs 3:13 Frogs 3:25 Chameleons 3:43 SUMMARY - Vision of snakes differs the most from ours – they sense thermal signatures. Due to the infrared-sensitive receptors on their snouts, some snakes can ‘see’ the radiated heat of warm-blooded mammals. - Cows don’t see colors as clearly as human. You’ve probably never heard about this: they see the world in a red-orange color scheme. - There is a blind spot where horses can’t see at all – directly in front of their faces. This is because of their eye location. Also, horses don't see as many colors as we do. - Fish eyes have ultraviolet receptors and a more spherical lens than we have. They see the world in green, red, and blue colors, but can’t see red and blue. Deep sea fish can easily see in the dark. - As for birds, they have something similar in their vision – unlike humans, birds can see ultraviolet light. Thanks to the structure of their eyes, they can focus on certain places. - Flies have thousands of individual visual receptors that collectively create a broad field of vision. Also, they see the world in slow-motion and can see ultraviolet light. Another insect, a bee, has an unusual vision as well. It's a surprising fact but bees can't distinguish red color at all! For them the color red appears to be dark blue. - Rat vision is quite blurry, and they can’t see red. They also see the world in slow-motion. Each eye moves independently so they can have two images of the world. - Cats don't distinguish red and green shades, and their world is made up of brown, yellow, and blue shades. The cat's field of view is broader than ours so they can see more on the sides. -Dogs can’t see red and orange colors, but they clearly see blue and violet, as well as ultraviolet light. Moreover, they are able to differentiate between 40 shades of gray! - Frogs can notice only moving objects. They can literally starve to death in the abundance of food if the food does not move! Frogs can also focus only on certain things, so they don’t concentrate on what they don’t need (for example, shadows). - The eyes of chameleons can rotate in different directions independently, so they have a 360-degree field of vision. They see two images at the same time: one in the front and the other one behind. 10 Kids Who Were Raised By Wild Animals

12:54
10 Real Kids Who Were Raised In The AMAZON JUNGLE Subscribe to our channel: ► http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Richest ◄ Have you ever been to a restaurant or just out in public and you get disrupted by loud and hyper kids? Yup, children can get pretty wild and make quite a scene. However, what about when children get really wild? We mean this in the literal sense and have 10 examples of children who were raised in the wild by animals. We’ll start you off with Natasha, a girl who was actually raised by feral cats and dogs after her parents neglected her. Then there’s Bello, a character who is seemingly straight from a Disney movie thanks to the fact he was raised by chimps. We’ll travel to India to tell you about a boy who was actually living with wolves. Not too far from there, lives a woman in Cambodia who appeared from the jungle one day after living a feral life for several years. If you like cats then be sure to stick around for the story of the little boy who was actually raised by a pack of feral street cats. No discussion of kids raised by wild animals would be complete without mentioning Marina Chapman. Allegedly kidnapped, her strange story involves monkeys in the jungle and a happy ending. In Siberia, a boy named Andrei was abandoned by his parents. Incredibly, he survived the harsh environment thanks to man’s best friend. In the Andes Mountains in South America, we’ll tell you about a boy known only as Daniel who survived thanks to wild goats. Speaking of mountains, there’s also the incredible story of Marcos who basically lived with wolves and, from what we can gather, experienced a Disney-like story over several years. Finally, there’s the story of a Ugandan man named John who fled into the jungle as a boy and was “discovered” years later living with a troop of monkeys. 12 Strange Behaviors That Are Normal in Other Countries

08:26
Did you know that the “okay” sign means “money” in Japan, “zero” in France, and is even considered a sexual insult in Brazil? Yikes! That's definitely not a situation you wanna find yourself in! Culture and location sure can make a difference when it comes to appropriate behavior and gestures. Every country has its own laws, traditions, rules, and specific features that might seem strange and even shocking to the people of other cultures. For example, did you know that in Denmark, people have picnics in cemeteries? Or that Tibetans show their tongue to greet others? Or that the Vietnamese consider crossed fingers offensive? Our world is amazing and unique and that’s what Bright Side keeps reminding our readers. The following 16 facts confirm this statement. TIMESTAMPS: In Demark, people have picnics in cemeteries 0:47 People in Thailand don't let others touch their head 1:32 In many Muslim countries, the left hand is considered the “dirty” one 2:13 In Norway, people don't compliment others to their face 2:43 People in Malaysia point with their thumb 3:15 Koreans don't write names in red 3:43 In Australia, sitting in the back of a taxi is rude 4:20 Tibetans show their tongue to greet others 4:55 People in China celebrate their birthday according to the Lunar calendar 5:35 The Vietnamese consider crossed fingers offensive 6:09 Indians don't say “thank you” too often 6:35 Maasai tribe members spit at each other to show respect 7:11 #strangetraditions #foreigncountries #strangerules Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - For most of us, a cemetery is reserved for grieving families and an overall gloomy atmosphere. But believe it or not, it's not that uncommon to see a happy Danish family having a picnic or a young couple sunbathing there! - In many countries, patting someone on the head is a sign of approval and care, but that’s not the case in Thailand. Thai people strongly believe that the head is the most sacred and important part of the body where your soul resides. - Muslims usually use their left hand to clean themselves after going to the bathroom. You must use your right hand for greeting people and eating meals. - People in Norway are way more subtle with their compliments than, say, Americans are. They don't really like to put others on the spot and make them feel embarrassed by their words. - In Malaysia, pointing at someone with your index finger is considered really rude and offensive. You can kinda get away with this if you point at an animal or an object. But when it comes to people, Malaysians use another hand gesture. - In a lot of countries, it’s perfectly fine to use red ink to make someone's written name even more noticeable. In South Korea, though, locals would never do something like that. This superstition goes back to the times when red ink was used to write deceased people's names on the family register. - In the U.S., sitting in the front passenger seat next to the taxi driver would be really weird. That’s why it’s more common in America to sit in the back of the taxi. But in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland, and the Netherlands, sitting in the back can be considered impolite. - If you go to Tibet, you're guaranteed to have fun every time you meet someone simply because Tibetans often stick their tongue out to say “hello”! This strange tradition originates from past times. - People in China add one year to their total age on their Lunar New Year's Day. That's why people in China can be one or even two years older in their age-counting system than in the international one. - In Vietnam, crossing your index and middle fingers over each other represents genitals, obviously making it an incredibly offensive gesture to show someone. - Indians take “thank you” way more seriously! If you say it in the wrong context, where it’ll sound insincere, it may even get you into trouble. - For the Maasai people of Kenya and northern Tanzania, spitting at one another is seen as a sign of blessing and respect. They also often spit on their palms before shaking hands. Why Triassic Animals Were Just the Weirdest

STRANGEST and Cutest Baby Animals

10:38
It’s always an incredible moment when a baby comes into the world, whether it’s a baby human or whether it’s a baby animal. Some of course come out looking a lot cuter than others, while there are some babies that pop out and you think, that’s a face only a mother could love! We have a look at some of the cutest, more unusual baby animals today. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 10 - New-born lizards… These are active little guys that look like a mini version of their parents. They’re quite independent from birth and can survive without mom the moment they enter the world. Their diet is the same as an adult lizard if it’s small enough to fit in its tiny mouth hole! Like their parents, they can heal quickly, and they like to bury themselves into the ground to protect themselves at night. 9 - The European hedgehog infant… They don’t have the most incredible name for their babies, either they’re called “young” or “baby” hedgehogs. Larger species of hedgehog will have between 4 and 5 young, and smaller species between 5 and 7. It’s quite common for the father to suffocate or hurt his new-borns. The young are born blind and over 7- hours after birth, the membrane covering their eyes dries up and falls off, enabling the baby to see for the first time. 8 - Hippopotamus baby… These round, rather large water-loving animals are found across Africa, and as cute and cuddly as what they appear, they are exceptionally dangerous. They claim the lives of roughly 3,000 people every year. They are ready to mate from 6-years old and are pregnant for 8-months. Babies are born underwater and must swim straight away to the surface to fill their lungs with oxygen. Usually only one is born, but there have been cases of twins before. Moms are super protective of their young, so best keep your distance. 7 - Baby wombat… In true Australian style, we’re exposed to another unusual critter called a wombat. These rotund marsupials are different to other marsupials as their pouch points backwards. The reason is that mother wombats dig a lot, so it wouldn’t be an ideal set-up if the sand was being flicked into the baby’s face and the pouch. Babies are called Joey’s and moms give birth to just one baby every spring. The gestation period is 20-21 days and the babies are only weaned after 15-months. Did you know a group of wombats is called a wisdom? 6 - Baby Humboldt Penguins… These penguins from Chili and Peru look slightly different to other penguins in that they are slightly thinner. These are highly threatened penguins and it’s believed there are between 3,000 and 12,000 left in the world. Because the penguins live in colonies, they are highly sociable birds. Its been known that some penguins will adopt or sit on other eggs if anything has happened to the parents. All penguins will incubate the eggs, the only penguin who doesn’t do that is the Emperor penguin where the man does the sitting. Penguins generally lay one brood a season. 5 - Baby Pika… Pika’s are quite small mammals that are related to the rabbit. They live in the mountains of Asia and prefer the rocky slopes and some live at heights of 2,000 feet. They like wild grass, flowers and stems and store their food in burrows to tide them over when they’re experiencing their very long, cold winters. They tend to have litters of around 5 and the gestation period is 25-30 days. 4 - Baby Echidna’s… This adorable fellow is a baby echidna, sometimes called spiny anteaters. These solitary animals are native to South America, and the female lays one soft, leathery egg at a time. The baby has an egg tooth which it uses to break the shell. Babies are called puggles and they stay with their mom for a year before heading out on their own. 3 - Baby Otters… There are 13 species of otters, and all their babies are adorable. Otter moms have been known to adopt pups that have lost their own mom and are very protective of their young. A group of otters is called a romp, and they love to dine on fish. Gestation period is between 60 and 86 days and the whole family take care of the new-born. It takes a month before a pup can leave the holt and 2 months before they can swim. Otters stay with their family for up to 12-months. 2 - Baby Rabbit… Like our baby parrots featured earlier, baby rabbits are most certainly nothing to look at when they’re born. They’re hairless, their eyes are sealed, and the mother doesn’t care for them right away. Baby rabbits are called kits and there’s usually 12-13 kits in each litter. The mom gives her kits milk and fortunately it’s not too long before they start growing their fluffy fur that we’ve grown to love. 1...

Subscribe for more amazing videos! ► http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Richest ◄ The land down under is quite different from the rest of the world. For one, the seasons are reversed. That means that Australia is in the middle of winter when Americans are in the middle of summer. Australia also has something that scares us all: terrifying creatures. It seems that everything is bigger in Australia too. Have you ever seen an Australian spider? They look like they’re big enough to eat a small dog! Living in Australia comes with its own risks when it comes to interacting with wildlife. For the most part, locals can live comfortably. But there are some creatures that are just too much, and even the locals get spooked by them. If you have a love for animals and mysterious creatures, then Australia might just be the place for you. If you’d rather have your animal interactions at the zoo, then you’re perhaps better off staying far, far away from this beautiful continent. 10 REAL Kids Who Were Born Creatures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ4_tpboeQY Kids Who Were Raised By Animals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfU0GsIXMhs Our Social Media: Facebook: https://facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest For more videos and articles visit: http://therichest.com/ For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected]

10 Very Weird Looking Animals

Top 10 of the oddest looking animals on the planet. Cute or creepy? You decide! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like 10 Strangest Addictions Ever: https://youtu.be/4uoii851kts Abnormally Large Animals That Are Actually Real : https://youtu.be/ZRTqNaSjvgM Description: We live in a wide and wonderful world, featuring an impossibly varied assortment of living organisms. According to recent estimates, there are 1,367,555 identified non-insect animal species that live on our planet today. Some of these living things are familiar to us in every day life, whereas some are certainly not. This list is focused on the latter, a group of rare and remarkable fish and animals so unique that you may have to see them to believe that they actually exist. Even as extinction takes its toll on many species of wildlife, explorers worldwide have continued to discover the existence of new ones previously unknown to humankind. Even now, scientists continue discovering new species every year and admit that modern science is not familiar with all existing animals. As we continue to discover new species, we expand our understanding that animals can differ in so many different ways and even creatures that look familiar to us may bear their own unusual characteristics. From tiny armadillos to big-nosed monkeys to jacked dogs to giant crabs, many of these animals carry a degree of familiarity mixed with something new and eye-catching. On the other hand, others are entirely foreign beings that look nothing like any creature you’ve ever seen on land, water or in any corner of this whole wide world. For many of these species, it’s no coincidence that they remain so scarce and unknown. A number of them come from species labeled as ‘threatened’ or ‘endangered’, made rare for their sheer lack of population. Those that are not threatened or endangered typically exist in environments that remain untouched by most humans. Some are native to African countries, some reside in Asia and some live down near the bottom of the ocean floor. The central qualities that set these animals possess are evolutionary and essential to their very existence. The dorsal shell of the Pink Fairy Armadillo provides the tiny creature with a defense against predators, just as the prominent nose of the Proboscis Monkey carries crucial significance as a mating tool. These creatures sometimes offer innate, natural abilities that can even catch the eye of the scientific community, as is the case with the body part-regenerating Axolotl salamanders. So what makes these creatures so strange? Well, all you have to do is look at them. Those on this list range anywhere from undeniably cute to strikingly grotesque, but every single one of them make a distinct impression. They come in all sizes and in a vast array of varying temperaments, but they all share in common a standout quality that makes them unique. Sure, they may all be oddly compelling to look at from afar, but you probably wouldn’t want to venture too close to any of these guys in real life. A Unique Creature on Earth That Can Never Be Killed

13:48
Earth is the only planet in our solar system, our galaxy, and potentially our entire universe that sustains life. Us humans believe we’re practically indestructible, but it turns out there’s a unique creature tougher than us that can’t be killed. Meet the tardigrade, one of the most resilient animals in the world – and possibly the universe. TIMESTAMPS It’s also called the water bear. 1:18 It’s really small. 2:20 It’s really, really old. 3:08 It can live anywhere. 4:02 It’s (mostly) harmless. 5:00 It’s practically unkillable. 6:04 It survives extinction events. 10:45 It might survive on another planet. 12:33 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -A tardigrade is commonly called a water bear because it is most often found in water, where it prefers to dwell, and because of its slow gait, which resembles that of a bear. -The biggest full-grown tardigrade is about 0.5 mm or about 1/50 of an inch, which is smaller than flea and tick larva. -The earliest fossils we have of the tardigrade species date back to the Cambrian period, some 530 million years ago. -Tardigrades have been found on the high-altitude peaks of the Himalayas, in deep trenches in the ocean, in mud volcanoes, and in tropical rainforests. -These unique creatures move into a new environment and help to establish an ecosystem, not unlike a gold prospector setting up shop out in the frontier. -Many tardigrades can enter a dehydrated state to survive almost any dangerous outside environment. They curl up into a barrel shape, their bodies become glass-like, and they put themselves in stasis, during which time they’re pretty much indestructible. -The tardigrade has survived all possible extinction events, from the Ordovician-Silurian extinction 440 million years ago all the way up to the extinction events that took out the dinosaurs. -The conditions on Mars are within the tardigrades’ capabilities to survive, assuming that a sufficient amount of water exists to support them. While you wouldn’t want to cross the path of a mama bear with her cubs you really don’t want to cross the path of a wolverine. While being aggressive doesn’t make an animal innately ‘bad’ it does mean they require a much bigger buffer zone than other animals. While it’s not common to come upon some of these creatures without venturing pretty deep into the foods, they are definitely on the ‘do not approach’ list. 10 Strange Things Found Frozen In Ice Antarctica

11:11
Antarctica is one of the most mysterious places on Earth. ☃️ It’s the coldest location ever discovered, with an average temperature of -58ºF and an occasional drop to as low as -128.5ºF. ❄️ In addition, this continent remains the least explored. Antarctica has no time zones, no countries, and only 2 ATMs. We're gonna tell you about 10 mysterious and bizarre findings that have been discovered in the ice of Antarctica. TIMESTAMPS: Elongated skulls 2:42 An ancient meteorite 3:28 Ancient fossils 4:19 Petrified remains of an unusual animal 5:01 Blood waterfall 5:44 Dry valleys 6:26 100-year-old whiskey 7:23 A scary creature 8:06 An underground lake 8:43 A frozen ship 9:36 #antarctica #unusualanimal #frozeninice Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Achilles - Strings by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1100463 Artist: http://incompetech.com/ Evening of Chaos by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Source: http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/index.html?isrc=USUAN1300041 Artist: http://incompetech.com/ SUMMARY: - This was a truly shocking discovery: 3 elongated skulls were found in Antarctica in 2014. These skulls were the first human remains uncovered in Antarctica. - For the last 50 years, people have found more than 10,000 meteorites in Antarctica. Some of them are more than 700,000 years old. - It turns out that dinosaurs used to live in Antarctica! Since the ‘80s, scientists have discovered almost a ton of fossils there. Most of these remains are more than 71 million years old. - Archaeologists made another amazing discovery in 2009: the ice of Antarctica had been hiding the fossilized remains of a unique creature. It was the size of a modern cat, but, unlike our popular pets, the animal was egg-laying. - An unaware onlooker might easily believe that the Taylor Glacier is leaking blood. Terrifying blood-red liquid indeed flows over the ice and falls into the sea. Luckily, the origin of this water isn't dramatic at all. This unusual waterfall contains so much iron oxide that it makes the water look like blood. - While Antartica is a snow-covered continent, you probably wouldn’t associate it with a lack of water. However, this land is home to one of the driest locations on our planet: the Dry Valleys. - 2 boxes of excellent Scotch whiskey were hidden in the ice of Antarctica for more than 100 years. After archaeologists discovered this unexpected treasure, they didn't remove it from its ice trap immediately because they were afraid of damaging their finding. - At a depth of 1,100 ft, American archaeologists made a truly terrifying discovery — they came across an unknown creature that didn't resemble any other living being known to people. - Scientists know of approximately 400 lakes in Antarctica. Due to incredible pressure, water stays liquid even when its temperature is below the standard freezing point. - In 1914, the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition began. Its aim was to cross the icy continent from one side to the other. 2 ships participated in the voyage. Tragically, one of them got stuck in the ice and was crushed. Sure a significant part of Australia’s birth was thanks to the prison colonies that were established for convicts of the British Empire – but today it’s much more than that. Ayers Rock, the Great Barrier Reef and the sprawling Outback have all become symbols of the country’s diverse habitats and are all popular destinations for tourists who flock there every year. Not into the natural beauty? Australia also has some iconic man-made landmarks, including the world famous Sydney Opera House, which are known by people all over the world. In fact, when you consider animals like the kangaroo or duckbilled platypus, it seems like Mother Nature packed all her strangest creations onto Australia. Yes, there are dangerous animals everywhere in the world but pound for pound, Australia seems to have the biggest share of sharks, spiders, snakes and other deadly creatures that walk the earth. 10 Shockingly Large Creatures That Actually Exist

07:00
These massive animals and creatures will give you nightmares! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Compared to the size of the Earth, humans are pretty darn small. It’s just a fact of life that we already know, but we don’t necessarily “see” it until we are next to something so much bigger than us. Regardless of whether you believe in a creator, in evolution, or both, humans and animals were created to be a certain size for a reason. So when we encounter a creature that is so large that it shocks you to the core, the world definitely takes notice. When it’s an animal that is supposed to be smaller, it’s even more shocking. Scientists then desperately want to intervene and they want to know more about how this animal could have grown to such large proportions. Was it because of genetics? Nuclear waster? An anomaly in the animal kingdom? These creatures certainly prove that we still have a lot to learn about the world around us. In this video are ten shockingly large creatures that actually exist. From creatures that were meant to be small, to creatures that are out of this world in their size, we have to wonder whether or not bigger is always better? Some of these creatures were intentionally modified to grow to their incredible size while others have genetics and Mother Nature to thank! You could even consider some of these creatures as additional wonders to the world. While we would like to think that we know everything about the world around us, we have only skimmed the surface. The Most Bizarre Mutations In Animals

04:46
These animals suffer from genetically strange mutations. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: These animals seemingly look like characters out of a comic book, cartoon, or a movie. The animals you are about to see are completely unique amongst their own species and force us to reevaluate what we consider to be normal and part of the usual crowd. As the world becomes increasingly progressive, it seems that Mother Nature has been struggling to adapt to the new wave of pollution along with trying to keep up with the evolution of animals. When someone sees a deformed animal, they may immediately jump to the conclusion that the animal was nearby a nuclear power plant or a location that was filled with a lot of radiation. But in reality, the mutations that you’re about to see in this video were mainly genetic and occurred before the animal was born, not after. Or, in you can even have two different cats living in the same body with a perfect seam down the middle with two different coat colors, and eye colors. One of the most historically recorded animal mutations is the winged cat. Famous literary genius, Henry David Thoreau provided one of the earliest accounts of the winged cat. Some of these cats do have extra appendages, but most of them just have longer fur to make it look like they have wings. Unfortunately, given the time of the sightings, most winged cats were killed because it was believed that they were messengers of the devil. Froggy is another bizarre animal mutation that made scientists believe that there was a grouping of frogs in one little pile, but it ended up being just one frog that was likely one egg that never split. The Octogoat is another example of a fetus fusing together with another, giving this young goat 8 legs. Frank and Louie is a cat with two faces and one brain. Interestingly enough, many of these mutated animals were born in a litter where their brothers and sisters look completely normal. Another “mutation” is the pink dolphin, which isn’t really pink at all. Instead, the pink dolphin is actually albino and gives off a pink hue. Obviously, because they are pink, there aren’t a lot seen because they can be so easily spotted. From looking like a Cyclops to a pig looking like a monkey, the mutations of genes can be both an exciting and frightening experience, especially if you don’t know what you’re looking at. We are lucky to live in a time where we have science and logic to help us make sense of these bizarre animal mutations. If these mutated animals were discovered during medieval times, they were likely mistaken for some sort of religious sign of prophecy and could have very well been harmed. But today, we can critically approach these animals and find a logical answer, all the while learning more about the capabilities that different species possess. Many of the animals in this video managed to defy odds not just in the fact that they exist, but also impressed people by the shear fact that they survived. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Featuring: Winged Cat Pink Dolphin Stumpy the Duck Froggy Octogoat The Monkey Pig Kenny the Tiger Cyclops Kitten Frank and Louie Pig the Dog ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

10 Biggest Sea Creatures Ever Caught

05:42
You won't believe that fishermen actually caught these gigantic sea monsters! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg SyFy recently aired the third film in their so-bad-its-good “Sharknado” series, prompting some to wonder if airborne, tornado-based sharks could actually be real. Okay, so no one is really wondering that. Still, though, the ocean continues to represent a great unknown to us, providing home to countless species, many of which remain a mystery to humanity. The more we learn about what lurks deep below the surface, the more we realize still remains uncovered. With two-thirds of the Earth’s surface covered in water, it stands to reason that a great deal of that space remains unexplored. Of course, just because humankind hasn’t covered every iota of ground along the ocean floor, it doesn’t mean that those areas are uninhabited. All we know for sure is that the truly deepest depths of the world’s oceans continue to offer surprises, even as scientific technology becomes increasingly advanced. New species unlike any others known before are routinely discovered, with entirely new and alien biomes in extreme environments that no life had even been thought possible have challenged our very notions of what life is and how it has evolved. Amidst the cold darkness of a low-lying ocean area with depths that no sunlight can penetrate lies an alien world of incredibly rare and mysterious species. While many are simple, harmless omnivores, they share the ocean floor with some pretty unsettling forces. These ocean-based creatures – those that we know about, anyway – change everything we think we know about fish. Each one has at least one predominant feature that stands out as being unlike anything seen before. Think you know sharks? Well, how about one with a saw-like nose or a frilly, eel-like body. Think you’ve seen some big fish? How about a 17-metre long swimmer or a 900-pound squid or even a 5,000-pound behemoth sunfish? Lurking within the ocean are a number of deadly, threatening, vicious creatures that are naturally designed and programmed to hunt and stalk their prey. Thankfully, most of these monsters live at pressures that humans could never survive at – not that they would survive long down there, anyway. In recent years, Hollywood has sparked a fascination with zombies, aliens and other forces that exist beyond the realms of our planet and that are not steeped in reality. Despite that, some of the strangest and most terrifying creatures in the universe lie beneath the surface of bodies of water with which we are, at least partially, familiar. As we sit on a beach staring out at the natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean, we remain blissfully oblivious to all that lurks within. This list seeks to open the door to an entire world of deep sea activity, featuring a cast of creepy and spooky characters that few even know exist. These 10 fish, some of whom may seem to be borne out of your darkest nightmares, are all very real and may give you second thoughts the next time you foray into the ocean. And these are just the ones we know about… Check out these other awesome videos! 10 Shockingly Large Creatures That Actually Exist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9odlL5Ti3dc 10 Things That Will Happen When Humans Go Extinct https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ml_awEqbEE Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/

If You See This, Run Fast and Ask for Help!

09:08
There are so many different animals in the world that nobody even knows the exact number of existing species. Here are 12 strange animals that you should run from as fast as you can if you ever encounter them in the wild. Preview photo credit: Phill Torres https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClaC4xkueyTnrJQ6IvdMlgg TIMESTAMPS The caterpillar 0:31 Deathstalker 1:40 Carpet Viper 2:29 Cone Snail 2:53 Stonefish 3:23 Africanized Honey Bee 4:02 Brazilian Wandering Spider 4:42 Black Mamba 5:08 Poison Dart Frog 5:56 Tse Tse Fly 6:28 Blue-Ringed Octopus 6:56 Komodo Dragon 7:28 Box Jellyfish 7:55 SUMMARY For example, the caterpillar on the thumbnail looks like somebody dropped their wig by accident. It’s not very big, but it’s very hairy. You might think that because it’s hairy, it’s tender to touch, but don’t let it fool you. In fact, if you touch the hairs, they will penetrate your skin and sting you. According to the experience of other people, the pain is unimaginably bad, so stay away from this caterpillar if you can. However, if you got stung, doctors recommend washing the area of the bite. Use water and soap, but be very careful not to press the spot — because this will make the poison spread faster. After you finish washing the bite, put some ice to reduce the pain. If the pain doesn’t go away within the next 30 minutes or so, go to the hospital immediately. 10 Strangest Ocean Phenomena You Won't Believe!

04:14
Top 10 Amazing things that occur in the deep blue ocean. Creatures, and strange underwater events! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Description: With water covering 70% of the Earth’s surface, it’s no wonder that oceans yield spectacular species, with scientists finding up to four new species a day, according to the World Register of Marine Species, or WoRMS. They add that there are also approximately 228,450 marine species known to scientists with some two million more multi-celled marine organisms still to be discovered. The ocean is also home to other phenomena including giant beached whales, bioluminescence – when water appears to be glowing - and the yearly migration of millions of red sea crabs on Christmas Island, stopping drivers and pedestrians in their tracks. Seahorses continue to fascinate people time and again, not only for their combination of a norse-like head with S-shaped bodies but also because of what’s seemingly a reversal of roles in the natural world i.e. the male having to do the “pushing.” Rogue waves are an amazing phenomena that could have deadly consequences too, engulfing ships and fishermen in its wake. Short-tail stingrays are also considered to be dangerous. The death of Australian wildlife expert Steve Irwin, “The Crocodile Hunter,” by a sting ray brought the species to prominence in 2006 but in reality, that was a freak occurrence that happens on extremely rare occasions. Sea pens and glass squid appear to go hand in hand, although neither are what they seem. Underwater, famed French marine explorer Jacque Costeau once said “When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself.” Such is the inspiration by marine biologists, sailors, and regular people alike to continue to explore life under water. Despite man’s advancements of NASA and seeking life on other planets, it’s seeing what’s under the earth’s surface where marine life will help us truly understand our human world. Abnormally Large Animals That Are Actually Real

05:01
Huge animals that you won't believe are actually real life living creatures. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg. Check out the new video form our friends at Hybrid Librarian: '10 MYTHICAL Creatures That Turned Out To Be REAL': https://youtu.be/xylbc68z_Fs For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] These animals are the subject of myths and legends. For thousands of years, writers and philosophers have immortalized these animals in the history books. The existence of these animals have always been speculated, but thanks to the internet and the concept of going viral, people can confirm these animals are real. Even with exposure to the Internet, people will speculate that the photos have been edited or that the videos have been enhanced with CGI. Of course verifying the existence of these animals can be solved with a simple visit or researching the local newspaper archives. In this video are some of the most abnormally large animals that have been verified to be real. Cryptozoology has often informed us of animals that we cannot verify as being actually real, but mainstream news has at least made the following animals real and available to us all. First, we have Zeus, who was known as the tallest dog. Dogs can grow to fairly large sizes, but this particular dog literally stands above all of the rest. Zeus was a Great Dane who weighed about 155 pounds and stood about 44 inches tall. On an average day, Zeus would eat about 12 cups of food per day. Unfortunately, he didn’t live to see his 6th birthday, and his life span was much shorter than the average Great Dane. Next, we have the tallest bunny, whose name is Darius. Per month, Darius can eat through 360 carrots, 30 apples, and 15 cabbages. He is about 6 years old and holds the record for being the tallest rabbit known to exist. Darius weighs about 50 pounds and is about four feet and four inches long. Having a rabbit like Darius can also be pretty costly since his owners are spending well over 2,000 pounds per year to keep the rabbit fed. Your average house cat can also be a contender as one of the largest animals. Ludo is a Maine Coon housecat, who weighs about 24.5 pounds and is 45 inches long. You can bet that Ludo’s owners, the Gill family, probably doesn’t share the bed with their large feline. The craziest part about this is that Ludo is only 17 months old and hasn’t stopped growing yet. Big Jake currently holds the record as the tallest horse. He weighs over 2600 pounds and stands at over 210 centimeters tall. Big Jake can also eat through one and a half bales of hay and 40 quarts of oats each day. This horse has good company with Blosom being the tallest cow at 13 years old. She is six feet four inches tall and weighs about 2000 pounds. Blosom’s owner realized something was special about her when she failed to produce a calf. Her size actually ended up saving her from the slaughterhouse, and she is the current greeter at the farm she lives on. There are many more large animals where this comes from. These animals are real to the touch, and we can imagine that a brand new slew of legends and myths will be written with these giants of the animal kingdom in mind. Unbelievable Animals That Saved People's Lives

03:49
Top 10 real stories of wild animals and pets saving human's lives Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Other Videos You Might Like Prehistoric Creatures That Still Exist Today https://youtu.be/cJtEGbk_OHc?list=PLXK3uPjJ22FWSlwPkum_jlLtojxm3O8LJ 10 Amazing WTF Wedding Photos https://youtu.be/fDfkdcfrVQI Description: The relationship between humans and animals is both complicated and beautiful. Humans eat animals, but also take care of them as pets. We depend on animals for food as we eat the meat, milk, and eggs. We keep cats, dogs, fish, birds, reptiles, and more as pets. We try to preserve dying species and help save them through reproduction, all while other members of the human race are causing the extinction of some of the world’s most beautiful animals. It’s truly a love-hate relationship, and while we think animals may be dumb and unaware of their human heroes, we are quickly learning that they are paying attention. In this video are some of the most remarkable stories of animals who have saved the lives of humans. From pigs to horses to dolphins, these animals sensed that there was danger and sprang into action before the victim even knew what was going on. Take Lulu the pig as an example. Her owner, JoAnn Altsman had a heart attack and collapsed in her home. Lulu ran to the road and tried to flag someone down. A driver eventually stopped, and followed the pig where they found Altsman unconscious and were able to call for help, saving the pig owner’s life. If it wasn’t for Lulu’s bravery and intelligence, there’s a good chance that Altsman would not have survived the heart attack. They say that animals sense something more than what humans can perceive around them. Perhaps it is due to animals having different brain function and being able to see more than we can ever imagine. Whatever the reason, it has truly become a major benefit for humans everywhere because not only can we protect each other, we also have the support of the animal kingdom on our side, which is a beautiful relationship to have. Feats such as these are also motivators for people to no longer eat meat and start organizations such as PETA. People such as these also see animals as equal partners in life, and don’t perceive humans as being above any other animal in this world or on the food chain. Another remarkable story is that of surfer Todd Endris. He was enjoying his time on his surfboard when he was viciously attacked by a passing shark. Endris gripped his surfboard to his stomach and chest to protect his intestines while the shark tore apart his back. Just as he felt all hope was lost, a pod of dolphins began to attack the shark and circle Endris so he could get to safety. While his back was forever scarred from the attack, he survived thanks to the mysterious heroic dolphins. Finally, in 2004, Amber Mason was vacationing with her family in Thailand when the infamous tsunami hit. Mason was on a guided excursion with an elephant named Ningnong when the wave hit, and the elephant took Mason on its back and turned away from the water, shielding the eight year old girl from sudden peril and death by drowning.
