Green Space: Plants for your living room

0 ratings | 135 views
The idea of home reminds us of warmth, comfort and good company. But, what is the best way to soften a space and give it some warmth and natural atmosphere? We think indoor plants are a great start. While we can’t vouch for them being good company, indoor plants play a huge role in giving life to a room and building a sense of home—and they’ll last longer than cut flowers. Whether you’re living in a home with a lively, abundant garden or in an apartment with limited space, more and more people are striving to bring the outdoors in to make their home more homely. So, if you’re just moving in or rethinking your space, it might be time to add some indoor plants to enhance your home. Indoor plants can even become a design feature to add interest to otherwise null spaces—try grouping smaller plants together to soften hard surfaces. Unsure what plants might be suitable indoors? You’ll need to be looking for hardy, low maintenance plants that grow well in shady spots or in filtered light. After all, there is no such thing as indoor plants just plants that will tolerate being indoors. If your still feeling unsure what plants will take well to your space or what types of plants are best placed where in your living room, gardening expert, Fabian Capomolla has got it covered. In this episode of Green Space, Fabian gives us his guide and recommendations for breathing life and warmth into your living room.
